The only problem Hatton at 147 was the fighters were so much better.

This is someone that walks around at 170 in between bouts.

Hatton had no business at 147 because he was overrated at 140.

Hatton was better at 140, but I think too much is made of the weight in the Mayweather fight. Part of the reason Hatton struggled in the Collazo fight is because Hatton throughout his career had his troubles with southpaws. Also, Hatton moved up in weight on short notice, he was supposed to fight Lazcano at 140 but HBO rejected it. Mayweather has recently filled out into a solid welterweight, but back then he was on the smaller side at 147.

It was a very good win for Mayweather.

Mayweather beat a undefeated hatton...pacquiao went on to fight a faded hatton...pacquiao's m.o. for the past 2 years...fight faded guys at the discretion of his daddy, bob arum...

solid win for floyd, and a better win over hatton than pacquiao had..

So you're saying that Hatton at 147 is as effective as he was at 140?

Hatton was terrible at 147, BARLEY got out of the Collazo fight.

Floyd could fight Martinez at 160, I think he could outbox him.

You seem to be of the fratenity that says "If you ask anything from Mayweather beyond what he gives you, you a hater"

I like to see fighters stretch themselves and display all their talents.

I don't remember Hatton going around saying things like this...

"I think I'm the best fighter ever. I respect Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson. But as of now, I feel I'm the best.
    "

    That's the difference

Practically every great Welterweight of the past has challenged themselves up at 160lbs. I have no idea what the thread starter is crying about.

In regards to Hatton, haters say he had no business fighting at 147lbs, but neutral, objective, quality posters...such as myself...say he tried his hand there and was shown to be wanting in his fight with Luis Collazo.

funny how a fighter gets knocked down a couple times in a fight he's faded. back when srl/duran/hearns/hagler had their fights.. no excuses were made with the following bouts. how about vasquez/marquez fights?. i can go on... LOL

Hate and hypocrisy come from any fighters fan's, and a lot comes from Floyd's fan's. Hatton wasn't nearly as good as Floyd, are you saying he was and should have fought at 160? Who even thought he was good enough to fight a gatekeeper at 154? Everyone of your posts is typed like you are an emotional train wreck, stop it. If you are a Floyd fan, you should be happy that many people think he could win a belt at 160, which he probably can, he would UD the **** out of Pavlik if he ever got a belt back. Instead, you get pissed and type everything with exclamation marks like you are a revolutionary.

I'm asking you what you think was the reason behind him being terrible at 147.
