It is relevant. He just finished fighting a guy he was accused of ducking and everyone thinks he sould do this or do that but if your not a fan you probably want to see him lose(maybe not you personally). I think he can win at MW and should go test himself but i think 1st and foremost he needs to make the Pac fight happen(at all cost) then go up. Lets wait until he absolutely says he has no intrest in the MW belt before we pass judgement because at one point he said the SSM fight was a no go.

So Hatton looked terrible at 147 because he couldn't bully fighters like he could at 140.:good

I don't want to get into conspiracy theories, we just want to see good competitive fights involving the most talented prizefighters. I'm not passing judgment, I'm saying fighting at 160lbs makes perfect and absolute sense if the Manny Pacquiao fight cannot be made. What are we arguing about?

Elite fighters aren't supposed to almost get knocked out and arguably lose to Luis Collazo. You saw how Mosley handled the exact same opponent.

People always make excuses. Whether it be fans or the fighters/trainers.

Manny Steward said Hearns overtrained for the first Leonard fight and had weak legs against Hagler because he got a leg massage in the dressing room.

People criticize Leonard for waiting for Hagler to show signs of slippage before fighting him, and that he rematched Duran after knowing Duran would party and pork up in weight. Hearns was believed to be faded badly when Leonard rematched him, due to his KO loss to Barkley and struggle with Kinchen. Then he fought much better than expected against Leonard, and had a big win two years later against Hill.

People just like to make excuses for whatever reason or look for reasons to downplay a fighter's win....I tend not to take most of them seriously.

*****'s think that putting Floyd in a position where he might concede an advantage of some sort to the other guy is "hate".

Different kinds of fighters. Whats so hard about understanding how styles play a role in boxing??? Manny keeps fighting the same kinds of fighters. Offense first fighters with no defence. When is the last time we saw Manny in the ring with a fast handed boxer??? Or a guy that uses alot of movement?? Collazo was a bd style matchup for Hatton, and on top of that he is a pretty damn good fighter.

Would you tip your hat or talk about the next person he shouldve or couldve fought. The point of the thread is that Hatton went up 7 lbs and he was sooooo out of is element but Floyd is expected to do so much more. I think Hatton was limited so he was never going to be great at any weight that had great atheletes in the division but i understand the OPs view of the double standard.

Thing is morons like you just want to see him lose, so until that happens you will keep making excuses for why he won and how the guy that he didnt fight is the one that would have beat him. :good

Collazo was a good fighter, but he was supposed to be a routine victory for Ricky Hatton. I'm not in the mood for going round in circles, Hatton was shown to be significantly less effective at Welterweight than he had been at Junior. Mayweather beats him at whatever weight they fight at, Floyd is just superior in every way, but I think a devastating two round decapitation at Hatton's optimal weight is more impressive than what Floyd achieved.

That's all I'm going to say on the subject...if only because I know you feel compelled to back up Floyd Mayweather Jr at every turn.

I thought i said that he should fight at 160 too? And i dont remember conspiracy theories but i do think you should wait for the Pac fight before you talk about 160. What happens if the Pac fight happens and he loses? Why even think about MW. One fight at a time my friend.:good
