It was the thread that started talking about Middleweight...or am I missing something? The problem with Floyd fans seems to be that they continually make themselves and their favorite active fighter a victim. Manny Pacquiao supporters do the exact same thing, and all anybody wants are good competitive fights. What do you want me to say? I've just read a Floyd quote along the lines of, "I'm the greatest fighter of all time, I'm better than Robinson". Well, brilliant, Robinson was at his best as a Welterweight and he moved up and established himself at 160lbs. I can't wait for you to do the same.

But your the guy who will probably say he cherrypicked the worst MW champ in history if he wins. You act like Floyd is always so much bigger than every opponent he's fought. Watch a few more of his fights.

I think it's just a matter of seeing things in the middle and looking at both sides of it. Hatton was better at 140, but still an undefeated p4p ranked champ. Mosley is 38, but still one of the top WWs out there and coming off the 2nd best win of his career. In regards to the earlier examples of the Fab 4, Hagler wasn't the same fighter in 87' when Leonard fought him as he was in the early 80s, but was still the MW champ who hadn't lost in 11 years, and Leonard himself was a smaller guy who hadn't fought in three years. Sure Duran partied a lot, but why not credit Leonard for immediately getting in there again with someone who just beat him?

Just because there's some things about them that may detract from the accomplishment, it doesn't mean they're not quality wins anyway.

Come on now. How am i making him a victim? I'm talking about him losing his "0" to Pac. He's confident, he hasnt lost, so he wants to say he's the best. I dont think he is, but hes a fighter. In this business you should never think someone is better than you. I get tired of his mouth like anyone else and i like Pac as much as any normal person should too. I want that fight to happen so we should just focus on that.

Again - The patronising ignorace of *****'s knows no bounds.

I picked Floyd against DLH, Hatton, JMM (wow), SMM and I've stated many times on here I PERSONALLY have no interest in a Pac/Floyd fight as I think Floyd will box Pac's ears off.

Are you telling me that *****'s wouldn't be stoked to see Floyd win the lineal middleweight title?

Are you saying that the lineal Middleweight title is more impressive than a WBC diamond belt or the Ring magazine title?

Im talking about Style matchups and Collazo vs hatton, your talking about pac vs Floyd...WTF???? Im saying that people dont understand style matchups and how Collazo was a bad style matchup for Hatton and your talking about How Pac's win over Hatton was more impressive then Floyds win over hatton..WTF??? have you been drinking??? Floyd isnt a KO artist, you dont go to a Floyd fight saying, I wonder what round he is going to knock this guy out in. Pac is a KO artist and you dont go to his fights thinking he is going to counter this guy all night and put on a masterful show.

Your posts only show that you dont understand how styles play a role in boxing. Which is the reason that we so often see a>b>c>a. Who is to say that pac could beat Collazo?? because he beat hatton who beat Collazo. Or saying that Pac's win was more impressive then Floyd doesnt say **** about how a fight between the two would play out. Get a clue:patsch

This thread seems to be trying to make people question themselves for suggesting Floyd should go up to 160lbs and challenge himself? It's only his most passionate fans on these boards that are satisfied with him just telling us he's the greatest fighter of all time, the rest of us want to see him prove it in the ring. It all comes down to this, if the Manny Pacquiao fight cannot be made for whatever reason, there is nobody else at 147lbs or 154lbs that can hold Floyd's jockstrap...so why waste our ****ing time watching him kicking the living **** into Berto?

Refer to my last sentence in my previous post. I know how this ends. You're compelled to protect the integrity of your favorite fighter, I'm compelled to make sense. As for suggesting Collazo would pose any problems to Manny Pacquiao at 147lbs...:nut

    Good day, sir.

You have no business bringing your common sense and level headed approach to the general forum.

You picked him but did you want him to win? **** damn near everyone had him as a huge favorite but hardly anyone WANTED him to win. Of course Floyd fans would be happy if he won but there are others who would say "Martinez only had 2 MW fights, or was overrated..." This is the same thing people would say if Pac won the MW title. It the never ending expectations that come to these guys but yet Hatton couldnt go up to the next weight class.:-(

Hatton was almost KO by Collazo before Mayweather beat him.

He did, and although styles does play a factor in that as the Mayweather fan rightfully pointed out, I believe it also served as evidence that Hatton is most effective as a Junior Welterweight.

Who said anything bout Berto? I'm not trying to make you question yourself about Floyd at 160 either. For the 3rd or 4th time i think he should go to MW. It would be good for the legacy. I simply say he can say what he wants about how good he is, he hasnt lost yet, and fighters shouldnt think anyone is better than them. He proved himself in the ring against SSM now lets talk Pac. If that falls apart again, lets talk MW or Paul Willy.

The bold bit - Utterly irrelevant.

The bit about Martinez - Wow - You'd have to be a hater to say something like that. :patsch
