    You missed my point.

The expectations on Floyd are going to be much higher, because he claims his capabilities to be much higher.

Hatton got probably as much out of his capabilities, as he could have. Hatton never claimed to be the best fighter ever, never pulled out names from the past and said he was better than them.

    Floyd has.

Of course expectations are going to be different. The greater the (self proclaimed) talent, the higher the expectations.

OF COURSE Floyd is going to be expected to do more.

It's not a double standard at all. All fans want is for fighters to push themselves to achieve the most they can out of their ability.

Tyson did great things, more than most heavyweights could dream of - and for 99.9% of heavyweights, what he did would have been an unbelievabl career.

But we all know he blew it. He was practically done at 23, when he could have performed at the very top level at least into his late 20's, early 30's.

That's what I'm saying about Floyd. What he's done is great. But he has the potential to do more. Hatton? He didn't. He pushed himself as far as he could, and when he over reached, he lost. Every fighter should over reach once or twice, otherwise they're not really trying IMO.

    So what?

Floyd fans (and just about everybody else on the planet) want to see him fight Pac at Welterweight.

When has Pac weight 147 in a fight?

    NEVER.

Despite the catchweights, even his last fight he didn't fight at 147, Clottey did.
Floyd coudn't get below 146 even when he was contracted to.....

    Still, let's forget that eh?

Pac is fighting at 147 despite starting at 106... but hey, 30 pounds is too much for Floyd, but 41 (nearly an increase of 40% in bodyweight since turning pro) is OK for Pac?

Will Floyd fans excuse Pac for being "too small" if Floyd beats him? Of course ****ing not.

Pac fought at 130 TWO years ago. Floyd? NINE years ago.

    Seriously, **** me.

I'm not a great fan or hater of either guy to be honest. I think they're the best 2 fighters going aroudn at the moment, and hope they fight.

Pac is fighting at welter, because really, he's probably too good for the weight class he really belongs at. Now, I'd say Pac is realistically a 135 or 140 fighter, (forgetting the past. His body size now is at that mark).

Floyd, he's a welterweight end of story. I'd be surprised if he could easily make 140, so why is it too much to expect him to go to 160? He made JMM come up 2 weight classes after all didn't he.

I don't see the problem if Floyd is as great as he says. Hearns (who started at welter) went in consecutive fights from light middle (title fight), middle, light heavy (title fight), middle (title fight).
And Floyd puts himself at another bracket above Hearns as a fighter.
