It's in human nature to try to bring down the man at the top.

He didn't and for your reading pleasure.

"Arum agreed that the split with Mayweather was not on bad terms like their brief breakup last year. In fact, Arum said, "We intend to be back together. Everything with this was honorable and good. I had offered him numbers [for a multi-fight contract extension] that were livable. His expectations are in the stratosphere. He was entitled to buy me out, and he did. We decided this was the best way to handle it. He is a free agent. We have agreed to work with each other [in the future]."

""That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road." (Floyd ended up making over $20 million for Oscar, Arum is obviously upset now)

"Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million." (He was willing to fight Marg, but wanted more against Cotto and Hatton, which was justifiable. Especially with Hatton)

There you go dude. You people are idiotic with the ducking crap. Arum should have given Floyd his money and the fights you wanted would have happened.

    Blame Bob Arum.

Funny everyone criticizing PBF for fighting Oscar but now everyone wants to see Oscar fight margo, Cotto, Williams you name it.

    Sure I can see that.:deal

Can you comprehend why so many boxing fans would turn on a guy who seems to run from his opponents, regardless of his excuse:hi:

That is exactly what I can't see. It's boxing not fighting. The sweet science not a damn hockey game.

I was a big fan of Mayflower while he was at 130 and at 135, even though he never fought Freitas or Casamayor in their prime.

But at 140 and 147 it became obvious that he never intended to fight the best of the division and only intended to get the green strap. He avoided Kostya Tszu, Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton at 140, and all of the top fighters in the 147lb division. He has wasted his prime years and is tarnishing his legacy for some reason or another. If it is truly due to hand problems, that's understandable. Just admit it and move on. But, to continue to act dillusional and state, "I fought the best that's out there". That is a load of bull and every fight fan should feel insulted that Mayflower expects us to buy into this.

If he truly is the best, why such a calculated route to the titles, and furthermore, why not clean out 140 or 147?
