Floyd Hits way harder than Berto and Maidana

I disagree there...

I believe a 147lb Floyd Mayweather hits harder than a 140 lb Marcos Maidana..

I don't believe he is as explosive in his punches as Berto though...

140 maidana weighs 154 on fight night and floyd weighs 151'ish

Disagree. There are no evidence to support such. At >135 PBF had pop. At 147, he is a sharp shooter - quick, fast and accurate. His power comes from this. But he lacks the torque like Maidana whose slower hands are heavier even though they travel slower than PBF's 147 hands.

He doesn't hit way harder than neither. It's possible he may hit harder but not by very much if he does. Corales is a very bad example to compare to light-welterweights and WW. His chin was not the greatest neither. Clottey of all people almost KO'd him.

 

I think Floyd will be forced to bang in this fight and i think he might want to send a message to them other folks!!!!

While I do disagree that Floyd hits as hard as Berto or Maidana, I'm very confident that Ortiz will be stopped.

 

Then again, how many people have KO'd Morales? In hindsight, I don't see Maidana's inability to stop Morales as being that bad. Morales has an ATG chin. You would think this guy gets knocked out cold alot by how many people thought Maidana would KO him in 3. He only been stopped by Manny which looks better and better as Pacquiao hurts more people like Shane.

 

Floyd can bang in the inside because his style, technique and accuracy is phenomenal. If he bangs against Ortiz inside (which will NOT surprise me), he will make Ortiz look foolish. He MIGHT stop Ortiz, not because of his power, but continuous accurate punches to the body and face. Ortiz is too hittable and PBF is just a freak inside. Watch his >135 days fights and even against Mosley.

 

If floyd fought the same caliber of guys Maidana fought he KO ratio would be higher, on the other hand if Maidana fought the same level of guys as Floyd he would not only have more losses but a lower KO ratio as well, IMO Maidana is the harder puncher BUT the difference in power is not as big as you think.

 

that has nothing to do with power, floyd would stop them all because of his skills, speed and accuracy, maidana is a raw puncher and thats all he has.
