Maidana not being able to hurt EM is an indication that he isn''t that good and his power while decent isn't all that either as EM is shot. As for Pac hurting Mosley, it cannot be ignored that Mosley was a walking corpse, Vernon Forrest roughed him up when he was in his heyday. I gave Mayweather very little credit for the mosley fight and I give Pac even less, hurting guys like RJJ and SSM is NOT a great accomplishment in 2011.

Yeah but it goes both ways, better fighters are far, far harder to stop than shitty fighters, Floyd has been fighting good fighters for nearly 15 years, Maidana has only fought a few good fighters (2011 EM does NOT count)

EM is SHOT period, I remember before he was shot when he moved up to 130 and fought Chavez, he was getting caught and he got hurt, I expected Maiadana to KO him, instead he was exposed.

not sure whether he hits harder but i fully expect him to make easy work of ortiz. to be honest i'm shocked that people are all of a sudden deeming this a valid match up just cos ortiz beat berto; lets be frank, the berto win was a good 'un.....but the skill level was leagues below floyd's and anyone with an ounce of boxing sense can see that. it was a scrappy, clinchy affair (against berto) and while i applaud the win, the fact that it suddenly puts him in as a 'genuine' threat to mayweather is a joke.

uh, I can't endorse this, but I'll say when Floyd decides to let his hands go, he can be lethal, but his hand injuries in the past kept him from doing that.

Floyd came into the proes known more as a puncher than a boxer. He started off with his Roger and Jeff as his trainer and Roger was more offensive.
He started off 15-0 (13KO)
Then his dad came out of jail and took over and his next 2 fights went to decision and you could tell he was working more on becoming a boxer which has worked out for him.

 

as mentioned by other posters speed + accuracy=power....which floyd has in spades...but his raw strength is underrated....the guy has changed his style up alot and doesnt go for "it" in order to preserve his hands....everyone knows they are brittle...and i think if hed had to have surgery on his right hand over the last couple of years...u might not have seen him come back at all....probably very frustrating and annoying thing to have done and come back from....paulie has said that....and hes had his hand repaired like 3 times....he said he took the cotto fight before he was ready because he didnt know if hed ever get a big fight/opportunity like that again with his hand being such a problem
