Let's say September 12 IS his last fight. Where does he rank all time?

Oscar was a 2007 version LOL
Mosley was a 2010 version ROFL
Pacquiao was a 2015 version LMAO
Marquez was a fat, slow, heavily outweighed version PMSL
Cotto was past prime too HEH
Genaro was very stylistically disadvantaged and is no HOF'er anyway HAHA
Canelo was someone NO knowledgeable fan gave him a chance against JAJAJA
    Mitchell was past prime HOHO
Castillo according to most, beat him in their first fight CHUCKLE
Maidana 1 IMO drew against Mayweather PAHHH

Just saw this on the other forum haha.My guess is in the 30's. As time goes on the Pac win will look good once people get over how boring it was.

I disagree for a few reasons:

    1. Pacquiao was physically legit past prime, far more so than Mayweather.
    2. Pacquiao was psychologically shot
    a. He lost his killer instinct in 2011
    b. He got knocked out in the most brutal way vs Marquez which is the reason why he's so cautious now (thus no longer THE threat)
    3. Pacquiao had big problems with his shoulder.
    4. Pacquiao vs Mayweather on slow motion gives a different story.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think he'd be competitive in any era.

    1. No he isn't, he looked good in his 3 fights (Rios, Bradley rematch & Algeri) before Floyd Mayweather.

    2. Explain

no.1 GOAT for cherry picking. Not always but enough to tarnish his record IMO.

Pacquiao was still plenty fast in the Bradley and Algieri fights.

If that's the case then Pac was a nobody, cuz he's far ahead of Pac in the ATG rankings. Aficionados see it the same :hi:

I think Floyd facing Berto will hurt his legacy (at least short term), even if there are good, legit points you can raise in his choice. But in terms of ATG I'd say if he wins against Berto he's in the Top 50.

Anywho, regardless of his style in the recent years and his sometimes bizarre choices of opponents, he has been dominant and created huge buzz for Boxing. I'd say overall he's pretty damn great.
