Controversial boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. claimed he wanted to fight Manny Pacquiao back when the Filipino was still considered a top fighter.
at the end of the day it was Arum I feel that didn't want to risk his cash cow, I do think Floyd did his part, as well as Manny, but Bob it was who I felt avoided this as long as possible
I agree, if pac had been with GBP or even went free agent this fight would have happened. But I disagree with Pac, the fight does not mean much now. Floyd knows if he beat Manny, even real bad, it would not mean a lot. Most people would say that Manny was past his prime and not the fighter he used to be. The real question is .....IS THAT TRUE? Is the fight still meaningfull now?
its not as meaningful but I think it would be more looked forward too than a lot of people think, but its a HORRIBLE black mark for this era for these two idiots not getting it together for a f*cken showdown before the marquez KO
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/boxin...ments-manny-pacquiao-fight-him-150512366.html floyd shoring up his defense against that scary monster....one more roadblock just to be sure.
Mayweather was always scared shitless of two fighters Paquaio & Margarito. He knows it I know it Everyone knows it End of Story
That's Floyd's way of saying, **** off. He knows he'd get no credit for fighting Pacquiao anymore and Pacquiao's team messed around and screwed up the fight in the past
floyd should just stop talking about pac and pretending he was ever really serious about fighting him. :verysad
Pretty much Floyd is confirming he didnt really want the fight with this article... HE and Pac should have been on an even footing. Not that Pac really wanted it either... both, at one time or another, where responsible.
Trying to save face I see floyd.. I can't wait to see what his excuse will be after Matthysse destroys Danny and the fans demand him face Lucas.
