Floyd is definitely an ATG, and so is Manny. However like the poster above said, if he doesn't fight Pacquiao his legacy will suffer more.

We get it Floyd you don't want to fight Pacquiao but for **** sake stop mentioning him in every sentence, it stinks of insecurity and is frankly pathetic.

All this is overshadowing what is going to be a great fight between Mayweather and Cotto.

Obviously I dont feel the need to address the whole list b/c I have a lot of things to do with my time:D, but just real quick the names I highlighted in bold, I disagree with but still respectable, but the names I underlined ... Are you serious?!?!?!?!?

Duran is in the top 10 all time, but I agree with you a lot that neither Barrera, Morales or Marquez are over Mayweather

floyd will most likely go down as an atg without fighting pacquiao, but any boxing fan knows it will be accompanied by a huge unofficial asterisk right above it, saying "did not fight manny pacquiao," kinda like a prime roy jones and dariusz m but to a much, much greater extent.

How though? In Pacquiao we are talking about a guy who yes has had great achievements and I enjoy watching, but has 3 losses possibly a couple more. His best win to me isnt Barrera, Morales or Marquez (allfights too close) but Cotto (I wont mention catchweight becuase I do think Pac would have been too much if they fought at 147 in 2009) .... But were talking about a Cotto who had just had a war with Clottey , was two fights removed from the Margarito beating and had a trainer in his corner who was not a trainer at all but just a really close friend, not too mention he had just ended his longtime relationship with his trainer, his uncle, in one of the most importnat fights of his life. It may sound like hate (trust me though, I dont have a hateful thought in my soul) but I dont see how not fighting Pacquiao hurts him. Of course it will be a god look if they do fight but Pac SQUEAKED by Marquez last November, and literally looked like an amateur against Shane in May of last year. Now through all the great wars he has given us, he is entitled to have a bad night here and there, and yes wear & tear play and his outside life defintely plays a part, but all in all Pac is not the deciding factor between Floyd being an ATG or not.

Remmeber I said the bold I disagree with but those names were respectable in possibly being more of ATG than Floyd, just the underlined I had an issue with.

However, Duran's "No Mas" against SRL took him from being a top 10 to a top 25 im my opinion. Especially since it ws not an injury but b/c he was frustrated that SRL was out boxing him.

    Obviously, he is.

    But pacquiao ranks above him.

so if you're an ATG, you would not duck pacquiao you fool. real greats don't avoid competitions. imagine if ali and frazier didn't fought the fist time because one doesn't want to accept the 50/50 split of the largest purse in boxing that time.

Sounds like Miss Mayweather is trying to convince himself---or rationalizing to his ***** fanboys why there's no need for him to fight MannyPac.

I think both Floyd and Pacquiao are equally to blame for their fight not happening. Probably down to egos.
Floyd has shown throughout his career that he doesnt duck anyone and deserves the praise given to him for what he has done in boxing

    Edit.
Neither Floyd or Pacquiao can be accused of ducking anyone

If Floyd loses to Pacman (which he won't). He'd still be a ATG. The same applies to Pac. They are both ATGs.
