Floyd: I'm an ATG with or without Pacquiao

He will go down as an atg but will be talked about for who he never fought rather then who he did.

 

It's not that Floyd doesn't belong there, but his resume isn't the greatest either. It's arguable that most of the ATG's would walk through Mayweather's opposition pretty easily. I would argue someone like DLH or Whitaker could walk through May's competition thus far. I think taking on someone like Pac is more like a qualifier and backs up the point of how good he is and where to place him. Not whether he belongs, because he definitely does.

 

Legacy has a huge bearing on ATG rankings, that's something that will always be talked about when FMJ is pitted against the greats.
He is definitely secured a top50 slot for me at least, regardless.

 

I guess he has accepted the fact that he'll always be PAC's #2.PAC is fighter of the decade, P4P #1 and someone people see him as ducking. It's not a question aboit being an ATG, it's about the fact that you had a chance to prove yourself against another ATG and you made all kinds of excuses to avoid him. Floyd is outside of top 35 right now, while Manny is in the top 20-25. That's at least 10 spots difference. He has a chance of closing the gap significantly and make so much money for a self proclaimed easy fight...but all he's done is bullsht his way out of it. I'll never understand why :conf

Pac will be MANY slots ahead of Floyd on the ATG list if Floyd doesn't fight him. Floyd will be lucky to be top 25-30. Pac will be top 10. At least.

I feel you are refering to me? I just gave a list of atg boxers in no order and floyd is in there as well, I didnt say the guys in the list are better just atg's, people can decide for themselves where they rank them, I forgot benitez by the way, he should be added as well.

 

His 140+ resume is so poor, he is pissing away any legacy he once had. Delaying the Pac fight until Pac is no threat is another big stain.

Floyd is a joke who has turned boxing into WWF - trying to make fans believe fights are against live opponents, and then putting on defensive exhibitions.

Why doesn't he fight a live puncher.

Cotto is clearly shop worn, he was being got to by a one-eyed Margarito. What threat does that pose to PBF? JMM came up how many pounds? Baldomir? Gatti (no disrespect but not a boxer whose style was going to be difficult for PBF)? Over the hill Mosley, only made for the money after he was able to beat the ultra-slow, one dimensional and shop worn Margarito.

 

His resume actually isnt that bad its just that with his talents people feel he could have accomplished more.
