FLOYD: "I'm betting 5 million on myself to destroy Shane Mosley!"

I like hearing Floyd like this. Dude is a character and plays the 'heel' role to perfection

 

he should just schedule a concert after the fight...

I'd say thats a bold move. Cause what happens if he doesn't make the same bet against Pacquiao...does that mean that he doubts himself. Also if I was Floyd Id see this as a good way of making up some of the money lost my not going after Manny. Its almost certainly all hype though.

 

In politics, they call this SPIN. I'm not a *******nutthugger or whatever you guys call them... but this quote from Floyd is full of flat out bull****. He got knocked out twice...very early in his career... those losses mean very little, if anything at all 12 years later. His PPV with Marquez only did 500,000 buys...YEAH but that was before his wins over De La Hoya, Hatton, and Cotto (all PPVs that did around a million buys a piece, and all fights that had dramatic impact on Pacquiao's popularity and star power). "When else in the sport of boxing have we ever seen a guy all of sudden get so big and dominant at this stage in their careers." DUDE the guy has been cutting for years to make those tiny weight classes, he obviously feels comfortable with his body now. He's always been a gym rat, always been in shape, now he doesn't have to cut weight like MOST fighters inlcuding Floyd to a certain extent. Floyd has ENVY for Pacquiao, its plain as day after this comical interview.

Floyd is hilarious. When the fight was first made Floyd had to justify it by saying how good Mosley is, and that its gonna be the biggest fight of the century....now Sugar Shane is "Nothing" and "old."

 

Floyd speaks the truth. Mosley is an old D class fighter. Easy win for the King.

I can't believe floyd still gets so many upset over his comments. This is why he does so well selling PPV. To floyd, whatever makes money makes sense.

So, does he lose the bet if it's a UD with Mosley relatively unharmed? He did say
"destroy"...
