Floyd:Im making a ton of money,ortiz is making some good money..WHAT are they making?

who are you to tell me what i am doing... what i'm saying is money isn't evrything in life.... you talk about money as if floyd is gonna give u some of it every time u promote it. some people r sayin 40 mill some 20 mill whatever the price you don't really know the real deal. Don't tell me what to do on the internet you keyboard warrior. Your the one who's bitching not me. I'm just spreading the truth... trying to neutral and getting my point across for whoever reads it.

Man you gotta chill... evrything about boxing aint about money n ppv rating's....it's more about what u can do in the ring. I've seen both floyd and manny's fights and i'm happy 2 break it 2 u tht floyd isn't as impressive as the latter boxer.

 

Golden boy are one of the biggest promotional company in the game, they do all the hard work behind the scenes, floyd ain't focused enough to put the management work in promoting an event, he is using golden boy just as golden boy is using him. It's win - win for both of them.

However you look at someone like ricky hatton, worked with golden boy to promote his fights, then has retired and is promoting his own events in britain and doing very well it.

When floyd is focused enough on promoting events then he will, until then he will use golden boy to do the donkey work.

At the end of the day Floyd "could" end up with $40 Million gross. Just look at history and you'll be able to filter out the BS. What did Oscar earn from that 2.4 Million PPV when he fought Mayweather $52-54 Million. The Ortiz vs Mayweather PPV will half that in sales and not even close to the gate.

If you take into account Floyd is self promoted (~30% or the gross revenue goes to the promoter) there isn't a guaranteed $40 Million. He's not going to give himself $40 Million.

Floyd is good at blackballing fighters.

It's not everything in life, not a single person on this thread said that. Who are you to tell me how I talk about the money? It's a part of boxing, being discussed on a boxing forum... If you don't like the thread contents, leave the thread... Simple. You're spreading what truth? That boxing fans shouldn't care about the money aspect? How do you determine what boxing fans should care about?

Again, never said ANYTHING remotely close to everything about boxing is money and ppv ratings. I'm happy to break it to you that your opinion on who's more impressive means jack **** on a thread about ppv buys. Sooo like I said in the first post to you. Go to another thread with that ****. :thumbsup
