I just hope Floyd retires. He plays games and thinks because his name is out there somehow he is still in the talk for big fights. Just retire and let Manny keep winning and building his legacy.

I just want the floyd fans to leave this forum and let the boxing fans have it back.

This WWE/floyd crowd needs to vanish.

If he has no interest fighting why doesnt he officialy retire then, this seems like some ray leonard trick to stay in the spotlight without doing anything

At best, he's looking for Pac to slow down. But even then, is he seriously prepared to sit out during that time? **** it. The sooner we get to grips with the fact that Mayweather-Pac may never happen, then the better. Boxing (and more importantly, Pacquiao) moves on.

One week before the Pac/Shane fight: Floyd is fighting Ortiz.

After the 3rd round of Pac/Shane fight: Floyd; "I'm not fighting anybody,it's all lies"

Floyd who? that dip**** is irrelevant in boxing now. Nobody cares, the boxing world has passed him by. His next fights will be in prison. He's a self destructive idiot. I just read he's got more legal trouble stemming from his bodyguard choking out a bouncer at a club in January because the guy tried to see their ID. The faster boxing ignores this idiot the better, and Pac will be a much more remembered in boxing and be much higher on the all time list at the end of it all, so that's Pac's best victory over the big mouth baby who is going to wind up broke with various stints in prison.

Gamboa and JML got derailed but even if they fight next year its not going to be as spoiled as Floyd vs. Pac, those guys are young. Floyd and Pac are in their mid 30's by 2012.

I agree 2010 was the year, some can argue it should have been 2009 instead of Pac vs. Cotto.
