"Mayweather (40-0, 25 KOs), who is coming off a unanimous decision over Juan Manuel Marquez on Sept. 19, has made no secret of his dislike of his former promoter, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, who just happens to be Pacquiao's promoter. "Money" insists that he won't throw down with "Pac-Man" unless Arum recuses himself from the promotion, which won't happen, or if he gets anything less than a 60-40 split in his favor, which also won't happen. It is Mayweather's contention that since he's undefeated and Pacquiao isn't, he deserves a larger slice of what figures, even in the throes of a recession, to be a very substantial pie."

These negotiations are going to be a ****ing *****.

From a pschycological point of view Pac should bite his hand off for it that would worry Mayweather.

as someone else said I dont find myself being all that despreate to see this , firstly I don't think Floyd wants it and I don't see it being a great fight either. Interesting as its the two best guys out there but I don't forsee a battle for the ages.

well Floyd's right, after all this is a 'no-win situation' for him since Pac isn't undefeated anymore..

I'm sure there are bigger and more competitive fights for Floyd out there. What about making Timothy Bradley move up to WW? At least he's undefeated.

Bradley is too risky, hes going after another pinoy that happens to be undefeated and that is Nonito Donaire and the fight will be at 154.

Don't worry. Mayweather made a return for one reason: to regain his p4p title. Don't buy all the bull****. I don't think it will be their next fight. They will want to build up even more than it is already. Mayweather will face another big name (why not Mosley?), Pacquiao will do the same and in about a year, they'll face each other. I hope I'm right. If not, Mayweather has made a return only because he needs cash.

There's no such money to be made anywhere else anyways...

If Mayweather ends up backing away, he will not only be stupid financially but he will look like an idiot to all fans after that...

They should get inspired by the deal that Hopkins & Jones reached together...

I say something reasonable for both, such as the winner gets 55% and the loser 45% !

At this point it's too risky to fight other guys before facing off. Way too much to lose.

Then you dont see Pac winning either and thats why you dont want to see because everybody knows if pac wins it will be a great Fight, If Floyd wins it will be just like JMM

I know what you're trying to say but no

I can imagine pac getting the nod the same way Calzaghe did against Hopkins , outworking him but not landing any great shots.

and there is no-one who watches Calz v Bhop as an example of a great fight

There is still some hope! That both men take 50/50! But that is only possible if Floyd vs JMM PPV numbers do better than what PAC vs Cotto did this past Saturday. That way Floyd can go in as the "main draw" and PAC will go in as the P4P king. Both will have their leverage and both will have to accept what both bring to the table.

If PAC does more PPV numbers than Floyd......This fight is not gonna happen. Floyd's ego wont let him be handled at the negotiation table against Manny.
