Wrong! That fight has been on today on Sky Sports. Hatton looked tiny in there.

No different in size to Canelo? If we ignore the 15-20 lb size difference this is an accurate statement.

His fans love to talk about how small mayweather is... when by his own admission, in his own words, he is a 'big welterweight'. And they act likes hes fighting giants :patsch

Hes fought maybe 3 fighters I wouldn't consider considerably/impressively bigger than him in his entire career. They think that in ring weight is everything at the lower weights, when in reality at the lower weights dimensions plays a huge part of the equation.

Now you want to know a fighter who DOES consistently fight and beat considerably larger opponents? That would be Rigondeaux

How can Canelo be 15-20lbs bigger when he wasn't allowed to come in the ring over 153?

There seems to be this conspiracy that Floyd is ALWAYS the smaller man when he fights - nah, not true at all.

If we use the measurable statistic of weight, you are wrong.

    Some things aren't opinion.

What are you talking about "wasn't allowed to come in the ring over 153?" Huh?!

They were weighed by Showtime before entering the ring.

Look it up and you will see.

Can I get a source on the 'big WW' comment? I've only see him say 'full WW' which implies that he's normally sized at the weight.

3 fights in his whole career? :patsch
    Manfredy 139, Floyd 138
    Juuko 140, Floyd 136
    Vargas 141, Floyd 139.5
    Burton/Augustus 140, Floyd 139
    Corrales 146, Floyd 136.5
    Castillo I 147.5, Floyd 138.5
    Castillo II 147, Floyd 138
    Sosa 145, Floyd 140
    Ndou 147, Floyd 140
    Cruseles 150, Floyd 142
    Mitchell 155, Floyd 148
    Judah 150, Floyd 146
    Baldomir 162, Floyd 149
DLH, unknown but Oscar was way bigger obviously
    Ortiz 164, Floyd 150
    Canelo 165.2 Floyd 150
    Maidana I 165, Floyd 148

So just from the fights where we have record of the weights he has weighed less 17 times. He has been outweighed by 0-5 lbs 6 times. He has been outweghed by 5-10 lbs 6 times. And by 10-20 lbs 4 times (and almost certainly 5 if you count DLH).

But you put this down to dimensions?

Lol you're literally using Skip Bayless as a boxing source if you are saying Canelo couldn't come in over 153. That was something that Skip said on First Take that misled a lot of casuals. Then Dan Rafael went on the next day and set him straight. They both weighed in on fight night. Canelo was 165.5 to Floyd's 150.

Floyd is a small WW using certain measurements, like, um, WEIGHT!

They are weight classes, not height classes.

He's bigger than Manny, but he's still a small WW.

We can all agree on the above...

Just stop with the agenda nonsense there.

Most JMWs consistently weight in below the JMW limit on fight night, right? Ya, that must be right.
