The man is the best since ali he has it all jab,D,O he can fight off the ropes which is VERY hard. Roy and bhops both lack jabs and the way you beat both fighters is with the jab ain't to many fighters better then lil floyd all time and the cotto fight would ICE top 4 all time P4P for me...

Bernard used the jab perfectly against Trinidad and Jones used it as a weapon against Ruiz

Some people tend to forget quickly just how good RJJ was in his prime. He decimated his average opponents and he won handily against all time greats Hopkins and Toney. He then went up to heavyweight to put on a clinic against Ruiz, while he wasn't even a real heavyweight at 190 something.

Floyd is very good and probably an alltime great, but he has struggled against opponents worse than Hopkins and Toney IMO. Floyd is very special but I would put RJJ above him at this point. From a technical standing point however Floyd is obviously more sound with a great jab, good inside game and allround fundamentals.

Yeah and people like you tend to forget that Roy Jones Jr. did STEROIDS! And he also faced sub par competition. Mayweathers resume is much better then Roy Jones and Hopkins IMO

Floyd is better than Hopkins, I have no doubt.

He's close to RJJ. Jones' best wins are Toney and Hill. Bernard Hopkins was green when he fought Jones.

I agree, PBF is better than RJJ & BHop.

The early RJJ, the athletic freak who was SO much stronger and faster than everyone else, that guy was better than PBF, but he wasn't around for as long as PBF has been.

And RJJ doesn't have even close to the all-around boxing skills that PBF does.

Hopkins' greatness is a lot about will and longevity. Don't get me wrong, he is a great boxer, but what makes him so good is he never loses focus and he just will do anything at all to win. And he's still doing it, at age 42 or whatever. He is amazing.

    Possibly.

Jones has Toney, Hill and a green Hopkins, and a lot of fighters from a mediocre light heavyweight division. Mayweather has Hatton, De la Hoya, Corrales, Castillo, Judah, G. Hernandez, Jesus Chavez, etc.

I can't stand either Floyd or Roy, so I guess this is an objective viewpoint. Floyd is not at the RJJ level, and probably never will be solely because he has struggled with a few of the fighters he has faced at this point in his career such as Castillo (twice) and even DLH to an extent. Roy dominated his opponents to such a degree that for about a five year period Roy lost a total of MAYBE ten rounds. Floyd has not dominated in that way.
