Floyd vs Pac is not a good match up idea at first, to think the former has speed and talent to easily beat the latter, but the way Manny performed on Oscar the other night could be a different story if these two meet. I won't say Pac will get that V but could possibly give PBF a sure tough fight if Pac brings the same showing again. Floyd could really be in an awkward stance if he only wins by a D over Pac.
pacman would be pfm toughest challenge since castillo I, without a doubt. Tbh, floyd would win but it won't be easy and thats the problem for floyd...he only takes easy big money fights.
i saw an article that says mayweather lost a substantial amount of money in the stock market with the current economic crisis. it may therefore be a certainty that he's coming back. but i think he prefers to fight hatton again since he already beat him. he's probably hoping that hatton defeats pac to arrange a safer big money comeback fight for him.
In a way it is there fault... Floyd Mayweather isn't that much more older than them he made the right decisions with his career he was born marketable...he's talented...and your an idiot if you don't think that guy isn't going to come out of retirement he's a fighter has been doing it all of his life and the fact that he is so young don't be naive all of the greats have done it the difference is he will retire undefeated. His legacy isn't hurt by any means...as much as people try to say it is the fact of the matter is you can't take away what he's accomplished and what he's accomplished is that of greatness and no one mentions the beginning of his career he wasn't fighting nobody's he was fighting champions early and was one of the most ducked fighters at 130 and 135 Shane and Oscar kept moving up...Floyd has always been that of the elite he's just now getting his due. Stop hating...because they're gonna have to wait!
He did not fight Cotto, Williams, Maragarito ...Do you really think that helps his legacy. In addition, he did not have a long career. Look at guys like Hopkins and Toney, they are still fighting and that certainly adds to their legacy. Ottke also retired undefeated. It does not mean that much IMO. If dh retired at 29, he would also have been undefeated.
Let him come out and prove he is better than Pacquiao...!!! What most don't realize is that his offence is so phenomenal due to the fact that he's been fighting people slower than himself. For every point scored against him, he scores a couple. This is a morale booster for him hence, that confidence... Against Pacquiao who can match him speedwise, he'll lose that dominating confidence. For every counter punch he makes, he'll be taggged as well. If he can't KO Pacman in the early rounds, Pacmans's gonna hit him a couple for every counterpunch he delivers. This will slowly erodes whatever confidence he has in his defences. He knows in his mind that he wasn't able to dominate Hoya whereas, his opponent had toyed with him. That will spell disaster for him. I am now sure Pacquiao can take his shot while I am not sure whether he can take an accumulation of Manny's hard punches. He sure will be hurt and his defences are gonna melt like Hoya. Pacquiao of ODLH fight is slightly better than the Pacquiao of JMM fight. It will be a toss up between the two but I am now favoring Manny...
Who are they??? Why are we talking about them...Floyd Mayweather Jr. He has damn near 40 fights!!! He's 31...he's not done...retirement (resting period) do not believe that he's retired...a lot of easy money on the table right now. Yes...it helps his legacy because everyone is still talking about him he's been retired a year today. Still the hottest thing in boxing and hasn't even laced up the gloves...Delahoya chokes against Pac and sets up a huge event. They had to fix the mess Cotto made by losing to Margarito. Always remember people fight for different reasons if he wasn't great you wouldn't hate him...If he beat any of them dudes they would just be considered nobody's and that's the truth.
here we go again with these statements of pac has no chance, pac will be wiped on the floor, pac will look like an amateur, etc. but if the unexpected happens again, i just hope the same ppl saying these things won't say that floyd is shot, the ring rust got to him, weight-drained from making weight, etc. excuses. this is already getting old.
Everybody was saying similar stuff before the pacquiao, dlh fight, that dlh would beat him up, wipe the floor with him, hes too big etc, look what happened.... It would be an interesting fight to watch no doubt, but havent people learnt yet, in this sport ANYTHING can happen
Im in the minority here but this has the potential to be a snoozer of a fight. I dont think Manny will be aggressive in this fight at all. Otherwise, he pretty much diminishes his chances because Floyd will counterpunch him all night. This will be a very careful fight for both. And when Manny just bobs and weaves, hes a very hard target for anyone..his guard is excellent. This would be a big letdown of a fight IMHO Id rather see a PAC/Hatton war
