Before everyone shouts me down and says " Shanes fought the best Mayweathers a cherrypicker" Thats not what i mean by Floyd being mentally strong, Watch Shanes fights against Forrest, Wright and even some rounds vs Cotto you can clearly see Shane discouraged and mentally giving up.

When has Floyd ever looked flustered or distressed in the ring even in the first fight with Castillio which Castillo won Mayweather fought till the end and didnt give up.

    Mentally strong?
He cries when he wins, what the hell is he going to do when he loses?

See, that's how you expose yourself.

Mosley hasproven to be weak mentally when things aren't going his way. All you need to do is watch the Forrest, Winky, and DLH II fights to see how confused, insecure, and demoralized he was.

I would agree you could really see Shane break down in the second Delahoya fight he was damn there crying on that stool...last time I checked Floyd Mayweather was undefeated and you would be fustrated to if you had to fight with a torn rotator cuff.:tong

Mentally weak is staying in with vernon forrest and winky wright when you're losing over 48 total rounds?

    Give me a break.
Look at floyd cry after the baldomir win.
Look at him whine about his shoulder after the loss to castillo.
Look at him cry like a ***** on the radio when people attack his resume.

The dude is not mentally tough. He just likes money.

You guys can live on fantasy island, where your dream boat floyd comes to your rescue... Maybe he'll run from a tiger or a bear, but he will probably whip the **** out of a rabbit or bird just to impress you.

Being emotional and losing confidence (mentally weak) are two seperate issues.

I cant say i saw Mosley give up mentally but he definitely did look discouraged from time to time in those fights.

That is probably Floyd's biggest weakness imo,you may think he won but that fight was very close and could of easily gone to Castillo, Mayweather fought without urgency right until the last round or so,he only went toe to toe because Roger told him to,Floyd was probably anticipating that he was well infront in the fight.

Floyd fought too passively in the DLH fight and even though i felt he won 8-4 the fight did seem a lot closer when you dont score it because of how little he was throwing, plus some judges do subscribe to the notion that fighters should get subliminal points for "making the fight"

Make no mistake about it one of Mayweather's biggest assets is also one of his biggest flaws, that he leaves himself open to debatable decision because he does not throw enough punches and show enough urgency at times.

You can't really say that Floyd is MENTALLY stronger than Shane b/c Floyd by large hasn't really been in a difficult fight that tested his mettle. Aside from DLH who presented Floyd's most difficult fight to date Floyd has really dominated everytime out. Of course JLC did very well in their inital fight b/c Floyd from reports wasn't 100%....the rematch told the story.

The level of oppostiion between Floyd and Shane is vastly different and not even comparable in the grand scheme of things. If you present yourself with more challenges you will either fold or become mentally stronger.....Shane has had many challenges where he never gave up...he did get flustered but again...he's faced A LOT more challenges and harder challenges at that.

Everything you've said on the thread is irrelevant. Do you even know what the thread means?
