I would probably agree. People **** on Guerrero but he is a top welter. Alvarez is also one of the best at 154.

Don't see anyone beating that this year.

Rigondeaux's win over Donaire is better than either of Floyd's win in my opinion. But he has fought just once and his next fight is against Agbeko so i don't think i can count him as FOTY.

Kovalev has had a really great year as well.

Campillo and Cleverly are great wins. He should be up there in contention.

Oh, and he is fighting Sillakh in November who is an excellent young fighter.

Floyd won two fights he was expected to win in an unspectacular fashion.

Both Stevenson and Kovalev have won titles and have won between them 6 fights by KO against 5 top ten LHWs. After 30th Nov they will have both fought 4 times this year and will likely have 4 KOs each. Neither were really even well known in January. For me FOTY has to go to one of these two.

For my money that's more impressive than Floyd just doing what Floyd does, however much you admire his skill. 2 UDs (well it shoulda been 2 UDs) in a year does not make you FOTY. Lifetime recognition comes at the end of your career and Floyd is a surefire HOFer and ATG, but TBH this was a 'meh' sorta year for Floyd.

DSG and Rigo probably have better claims than FMJ, but neither have fought as many times or won as spectacularly as the young turks at LHW.
