Yes, and we have been through this. Ring champion means he held the belt. Emoticon away.

If they stopped naming champions in 1989, that means they were naming champions before 1989. They started giving out the ring belt in 2002. 1989 comes before 2002, meaning they were naming champions before they were giving out belts.

They started giving out belts in 1922 and ceased in 1989, then started again in 2002. So they weren't handing out belts before they named champions. This has nothing to do with my original point, but you insist on arguing it. There is simply a gap between 1989 and 2002 where their is no champion OR belt.

Why are you arguing this point? My point is clearly that Bigtime is wrong when saying that PBF beat every Ring champion from 130 to 154, since it's impossible to beat a champion that didn't exist. When PBF won the Lineal 130 title, there was no Ring champion.

Actually, he said that Floyd beat every ring champion from 130-154 during his time. There are many ways to interpret this statement. For instance, if you interpreted it to mean that Floyd beat every available ring champion from 130-154 during his time, he could be right. There was no availible ring champion at 130, he was the ring champ at 135, he beat the 140 and 147 lb. ring champ, and there was no available ring champ at 154(although DLH was a former 154 ring champ). It's stretching it, but I see no reason to rain on the guy's parade like you did. His favorite fighter just won a huge fight.

If your reasoning is that Bigtime9 deserves a break after being one of the most if not the most obnoxious poster on this site for the past 2 years, then I won't argue, and simply say that's your viewpoint. Being that I have had him attack me and watched him attack others for no apparent reason, I feel no obligation not to point out his miscues.

I know his interpretation, and it's not the one you used. He has had this discussion many times.

at least someone on this site has common sense:thumbsup Kg cannot disprove that statement which was the basis of the post. floyd has defeated every available ring champion from 130-154. there is no debating this point.

I already disproved your statement. His statement is an interpretation of yours that is much more accurate. You didn't mean what he said, as I have had this discussion with you, and you continued to argue that Castillo was the Ring champion because he was rated #1. So I know your position. Nice try though.
