I don't. I am backing Floyd - he is a very good boxer.

I am, however, completely disgusted by the Hollywood retirement. That is just so ****ed up.

I still hope he wins.

Pretty desparate move by Floyd to announce it the day before the Hatton/Pac fight. Almost as if he's begging not to be forgotten after Saturday night.

 

I agree that marquez is the best fighter he has fought so far...sorry oscar.

 

Maybe it'll be floyd, cotto and winner of pac man/hatton decide who is the VERY BEST. Margarito? He's been working construction jobs plastering since lost to mosley.

 

I believe that Floyd is making a huge mistake getting back in the ring with a guy of Marquez's caliber after 2 years out of the sport. Sure, Money stays in physical peak condition all year round, but mentally his head has been out of the game for a while now.

Meanwhile, Marquez has been turning in brilliant performances against some of the best fighters in the sport. Most are writing him off because of weight, but he's just gotten better with each weight class he goes up into. I consider JMM to be #1B pound for pound in the world, to Manny's #1A.

I really don't understand the logic here. Floyd is either way too confident in his ability to come back, or he only wants mega fights and this is his tune-up for the Pac-Man and then that's it. 2 multi-million dollar fight purses and then he's out of the game having hopefully quieted some of the skeptics, who feel he hadn't accomplished enough yet.

I feel Floyd should of come back against an Andre Berto, Luis Collazo, Timothy Bradley kind of fighter. In other words, a good fighter with somewhat of a name that will prepare him for the top level guys. Because he has by-passed this train of thought, it is obvious he is only back to fight the top 2 pound 4 pound guys in the world, make a boat load of money, and enhance his legacy.

This will be an amazing fight. If Floyd has bad ring rust (ring rust is inevitable, even for the Pretty Boy) This fight could be a Split Decision either way. If Floyd comes back and hasn't skipped a beat, I believe it will be a UD for Money Mayweather, but a hard fought one.

 

That is the point. The fight is evened out b/c Marquez has been on a ****ing rampage stopping guys that dont get stopped and Floyd has been living life and the weight issue. That evens it out. Floyd is fighting a guy that can match his skill.. JMM is brave too. Its not like he quits or bottles it up if he starts to lose on points(see casamayor fight). He also has power to hurt Floyd especially coming off a layoff. This is a challenging fight for Floyd.
