Not all of them, and frankly their views have no more merit that most on forums. Plenty of them have poor knowledge of the sport's history.

yes there is, especially if pac wins, he's done a dam lot, i'd have to re-assess before i go on record but it's defo worth considering, pacquiao has done a lot man

ye id have to agree with teeto, theres a good chance if pacquiao wins, hes got to be in with a shout at least, mayweather would progress up the ATG P4P raknings, but in my opinion it would be a case of too little too late, he's got a lot of catching up to do

Yeah but 'stonewall top ten'? Still not sure that it'd push Ross out of the no.10 slot on my list. Pac is either inside or just outside the no.30 slot for me (don't like ranking fighters when they're still active to be honest, it's difficult forr a number of reasons) so a win for Floyd would certainly push him up into the upper echelons.

Remember, I don't rate Floyd as high as some, so the win would be amazing for Pac, but wouldn't necessarily make my put him in the same bracket as Ali. For Floyd, it would certainly push him towards the top 50 and validate a lot of the things that gripe me about his ring record.

these two are gunna be rated as two of the best in like 15-20 years from now, no doubt in my mind at all. Boxing is a nostalgic mans sport, it's not like football where people can happily call Messi the best ever while he is active. In boxing people don't embrace the current for some reason, these two will be celebrated heavily in due time. I remember when people never used to rate the 90's heavyweight division at the time but now it's seen as one of the best times for that division, it's just the way it is.

all i can say is we all have opinions and yours is valid in the context of your criteria mate, pacquiao is gunna be ridiculously great for me if he beats floyd because i think floyd is amazing and is far and away the best fighter in the world imo

its difficult to break a top ten though because fighters from the past fought more and therefore they simply achieved greatness in larger quantities, one of the reasons i dont ever see robinson being surpassed

I think an argument could be made for Pac in that case; not one I would make mind.

Floyd although very skilled, is very overrated.

He is lucky this isn't the 70's/80's, because the likes of Hearns would f-u-c-k-i-n-g steamroll him.

His best win is who exactly? Ricky Hatton? Diego Corrales? Victor Ortiz?

Pac will tear him to bits if they fight!

:good Exactly what I meant, and you know where I'm coming from more than anyone, you've watched me formulate my ideology over the years.

Exactly! But I see Greb, Robbo and Hank being interchangable for the no.1 slot, taking the **** when trying to discern who is the 'greatest' out of those three :thumbsup

No, that is true, as Teeto said, so I retract my statement in that respect. But personally, not enough for him to surpass Ross IMO (give some time for the dust to settle and that opinion might change) who sits pretty comfortably in the no.10 spot on my list Enough to put him alongside Canzoneri, Moore, and Walker just outside my top ten? Yeah, quite possibly.

yeah, i have robinson kinda on a pedestal but it boils down to me believink he is the best ever as opposed to the greatest, maybe that's wrong of me but hey, it is what it is. i would say duran is probably the most skilled fighter i've seen though, not to say he is the best i.e ultimately the most effective, as I say i believe that is robinson personally, anyway i'm ****ed and need some sleep, later mate

Agree with all of this, or at least understand exactly what point you're making.

Have a good kip kiddo, a lot of fun as always :good

Wow - Flea Man has got the back bone to not only stand up to the mighty opinon of Scurla - but to disagree with him too.

Not many dare disagree with Scurla.

But fair play to Flea for having the backbone to be his own man and disagree when most posters on here would just bluff agreement with Scurla not to upset the order of things. (with the exception of GazOC).

    Well Done Flea.
