You heard it here first. Floyd will most likely fight the winner of Cotto-Canelo for his 50th fight and win his 12th belt in 6 weight classes and 5th record breaking lineal title.

He'll get an easy highlight reel KO from Berto, move up 2 weight classes and fight and win the lineal MW championship of the world. WOW.. such a legendary career.

I'm sure GGG will finally pick up the vacant green belt once Floyd retires 50-0.

    Of course he would.

Canelo can demand more money being the champ, it could be a 70-30 split in favor of Floyd.

They can sell the fight saying Nelo was green and drained in their first fight, 2 million buys. EZ money, major event.

Na he's more likely to give Canelo a rematch than Cotto. Win or lose I am certain Cotto will retire, and considering Canelo should destroy Cotto, it's a perfect platform for a Floyd/Canelo rematch. I'd be very interested to see it at 160.

If Cotto wins, but not Canelo.

Plus, the last thing Mayweather (or anyone) would want to do is get in Golovkin's radar. GGG would become Floyd's mandatory and this was after Floyd said he can't make weight to fight GGG. Showing that he can, this would cause further demand for a GGG fight which Floyd wouldn't want.

So as I look at it, no he won't.

lol@ saying "the last thing floyd wants to do is get in gggs radar"

cmon man....floyd could fight the winner of canelo/cotto and ride off into the sunset without ever glancing at ggg

this whole scenario is not completely out of the realm......and ggg will be froze out for another year or two....will be 35 and picking up a vacant wbc title against another b- level guy....

should have taken that ward fight

But Floyd isn't retiring at 50 and he wouldn't want people to even THINK he could make 160. See, he's ok now and fans are fine because Floyd says he can't make weight. Ok, understood. But if he goes and gets the WBC belt that basically every boxing fan wants GGG to have.... It'd cause so much hype for a GGG fight. Not good.

Also, we're all forgetting an important piece of info to why this won't happen....

Winner of Canelo/Cotto will be stripped if they don't fight GGG (yes, that includes Mayweather.) Suilaman verified this for the 1,000th time yesterday.

    Hmmmmm....

I'm not so sure about that. This fight is @ 155lbs and I don't think Alvarez is making that weight easily these days. Plus, Alvarez' conditioning issues are legendary. I see this fight as being 50/50 or slightly in Cotto's favor.

Does anyone know what the line is currently on this fight?

No to Canelo. Yes to Cotto. I think a Roach trained Cotto decapitates Floyd. But really, I'm mostly interested in Floyd's sphincter being stretched out by Triple G if Floyd doesn't avenge his loss to Pac.

    :deal

I've been saying it for a while now - there is no way in hell that the WBC will strip the Cotto/Canelo winner as long as the possibility of a Mayweather fight exists.

Bumlovkin needs to just go ahead and take the Ward ass whooping...

lol...like suilaman wouldnt change his mind if presented with alot of money.....whoever wins that canelo/cotto fight will come off looking like gold...its a big fight.......if floyd were to take that belt he could easily retire and no one could say anything(although youd all try)....especially if it were at like 157 or something

basically yer just hoping this doesnt happen....because ggg would be left with nothing....another two years out in the cold....

ggg would probably gladly take 5 mil to step aside and let floyd fight the winner....

floyd could easily say after "i wanted to retire at 50 fights....and i made it...im done"....

No they're not, if Floyd decides to fight the winner, the WBC won't miss a chance on a major payday.

Earn peanuts setting up a vacant title fight or make million's on a major card. The choice is obvious.
