Floyd is really a smart dude to be an ATG in this sport.

PBF has the skills. Those skills where tested to a certain level early in his career. That put him on the elite level. But he has not tested those skills in the last few years. This is why he is criticized since being a current great is different from being an all time great. His early accomplishments are NOT enough justify his ATG status IN MY OPINION.

Many fighters had early or late success but not both. PBF lacking late success is not because of his skills but just his unwillingness to be tested. It maybe about money, his record or hate Arnum. Whatever. Point is, unless his late resume can match his above-average early resume, then the criticism will continue.

And to be honest isn't it supposed to be that your competition, while you are #1, supposed to be harder than your drive to be #1? He has done the exact opposite. Above -average to below average.

Beating Pac will go a long way. Will it totally resolve his lack of late career? Maybe. If he gets UD in a boring fight - probably not.

man, i'm a pacfan but i am not denying the fact that floyd could win this fight! he has all the advantages! in fact, according to the man himself, it is easy fight, easy pay for him!

and yes he is the favorite to win by almost all boxing experts! i mean why not, he has the size, the reach, the skills, the style!

I'm putting my bet on manny though but I am NOT going to say it's a walk on the park for pac coz it isn't

floydettes, I think you're relying too much on pretty boy kayoing pacman to finally cement his ATG status.

i think you should have a plan B in case manny shocks the world again. what now then?

You can't see the logic? Are you serious? How do fighters get ranked? How do you become a top contender? How do you become a champion? FIGHT THE LAST MAN STANDING... AND WIN! :huh

Man where do you guys come up with this crap? If you hate him just own that ish. Quit coming up with elementary ignorant crap like this. It doesn't sound smart and you don't look intelligent. :bart

So it sounds like you feel Pac will challenge Floyd. This means that Floyd is doing exactly what you say he should be doing; fighting someone who can challenge him. Am I wrong here?

i think the issue here is not who is floyd going to fight next year but his resume in the last few years! i think that's what the TS is trying to say. that floydie went to retirement and watched the best WW beat each other up and then came out of retirement and fought against a bloated smaller man!

he hasn't fought the pac yet so that does not count! but yeah if it does happen, as nothing is definite yet until they sign on the dotted line, then props to him for taking this fight, money matters aside

How can you rank the guy that beat your top ten higher?

If Pac beats Floyd I cant Rank Floyd Higher.

Ignorance? Idiocy idea often comes up to someone who hails Mayweather so much and keep themselves in a surreal state that their Floyd is so damn great in this sport but so lame to accept that this gifted fighter is so gay to find true challenges. We should always remember that Floyd Mayweather Jr. has all along been yacking about being unbeaten, and claims that he still #1 not only in the p4p but in WW ranking as well. And worst, to be included in ATG? But how can we rank rank him befittingly if he has sticked himself into a chair and waits for the shortcut challenge? How that question in Floyd become a crap idea?

he reminds me of ric flair when he won the royal rumble. let all the others beat each other out, play possum when challenged and just fight the one remaining in the end.

now pac has beaten cotto in a war (a fight that a true welter in floyd that was suppose to take), and floyd wants a march date hoping that pac would not be fully healed in an early fight date.
