Getting beat by Bradley and damn near killed by JMM, definitely helped Manny out.

Certainly past Manny. Probably the most knowledgeable boxing guy on the forum agrees.

i'll keep repeating this. If your goinf to list the greatest wins of the last 25 years. A floyd Mayweather one won't appear in the top 30 fights.

Thats 30 fighters that have better individual wins over floyd in the last 25 years. Floyd deserves ATG status for his longevity and consistancy and his dominance.

But personally prefer the resumes of guys like Jones Hopkins and Manny. Yes they took losses but they also sought out much bigger wins that floyd

doug fisher at the Ring summed it up well in his mailbag today. It depends what you like:

I think it’s a matter of opinion as to who has the better resume: Mayweather, Hopkins or Pacquiao. They’ve all been at the world-class level for 15 years or more and all have faced a high caliber of opposition. If you’re into undefeated records/win streaks, Floyd is your boy. If you’re into division hopping and boxing rivalries, Manny’s your guy. If you’re into all-time records and title unifications/undisputed championships, B-Hop is the man.

I rate Hopkins highest. Then Floyd then Manny. I'll have to rethink Floyd vs Hopkins though once Floyd beats Canelo.

i'm not talking about *******s you nonce.

I'm just saying i've never heard anyone talk about that win as anything truly "Great"

It was Floyds best win, and easily HOF level type win. But i'm talking about an ATG win!!!

The type of win you get once maybe twice in a career.

Floyd seems to be missing his.

cool fair enough. I'm Hopkins, Manny, Floyd.

Floyd could indeed overtake manny if he beats Alvarez on mine too

But the reason i have floyd 3rd is because he isn't even fighting Alvarez.

I know you always had manny ahead of floyd. but not that much has changed. He dominated Bradley and got robbed. And he was lookin his usual explosive self against marquez till he got iced. **** happens.

Floyd needs a big win to go above manny imo.

Manny has the Barrera victory. The 9 fights with the mexican legends, and i feel that his hatton and cotto wins carry more weight due to pac starting at 106. (But i accept that that is debatable given floyd fought hatten 1st, and cotto at a higher weight)

So i personally feel Floyd needs something special from maybe an Alvarez (depending how his career pans out) or a martinez, or even Manny

Fair enough, I just prefer Floyd's dominance over everyone and his beating of high-ranked fighters in his division. Sort of like how Whitaker dominated even though guys like Chavez were on streaks and beating people up.

and in the end it was Whitaker who was rated higher.

Its amazing how many Pacman fans there are! I have to give it to him. But as many pac fans as there are theres twice as many May haters. Thats even more amazing to me! Floyd is gonna be alot like Ali. Hated by everybody except his own race during his career, but respected by all once he retires!
