Floyd Mayweather Jr. is undoubtebly one of the greatest fighters to ever lace up a pair of gloves. Its just unfortunate that his critics would rather be blinded by hate than opening their eyes to witness a living legend and once in a lifetime talent. :-( No fighter has been as dominant and on top like he has for as long as he has. He had 1.....I repeat 1 ......Let that sink in...1 close fight in 17 years and 43 fights in 5 weight classes!!!! thats unheard of. His only close fight was against Castillo who was the #1 guy at 135lbs. This was floyds first fight at that weight!!! He moved up vs a much bigger guy who is one of the best pressure fighters this era. Who has done that? Floyd was injured and went toe to toe with him for 12 rounds. He didnt run, he fought like the All Time Greats did. Floyd clearly landed the better shots in the fight but since castillo had a high volume and was close to Floyd and applying pressure people think that wins him the fight. Floyd tamed the bull like a matador and never backed down from the champion who was 15lbs heavier. Then like the great champion he is, he gives Castillo a chance to regain his title 6 months later and silences the critics who felt Castillo won the first fight. Floyd wasnt injured this fight and was a little more accustomed to the weight and outboxed the bigger guy again in more convincing fashion.

No matter who Floyd steps in the ring with he with he will be the superior skilled fighter. He is one of the most complete fighters ever so he gets criticized because his peers aren't on his level. That's a true testament to his greatness. He's so dominant that people suggest he fight guys two weight classes above him and 20-30 lbs heavier. An extreme weight and size advantage like that is the only way to beat Mayweather. he's not even a MW and haters say he's ducking Sergio Martinez. If Mayweather was a MW with the same skill set, he would easily beat Martinez and embarrass him. Why should Mayweather have to fight a guy who's 20 lbs heavier at a weight he's never fought at to validate his greatness? We already seen Martinez at WW, he hit KO'ed by a young 1 dimensional brawler Margarito. Imagine Martinez at WW vs Floyd:deal.

Floyd is too great for his own good, the Kobe bryant of boxing. The same way they discredit kobe is the same way they do floyd. People hate on him when comparing him to past fighters because they are in denial about what they have witnessed. Never in boxing has a fighter been head and shoulders above the fighters in his era to the point that every win on his résumé is criticized. He has made fighters look silly and has easily dominated every fighter he has faced in 5 weight classes and they all praise him afterwords.

I am glad Floyd is raping the game that raped so many fighters for over 100 years. Floyd is the smartest boxer ever and the only one to control his career once he made it to ppv big time. Is it a coincidence that Oscar de la hoyas biggest ppv is vs Mayweather? Real fans and spectators know that Floyd is a once in a life time talent who is the best at his profession and displays the blue print on how to perform and approach tithe sweet science. I hope Mayweather continues to fight at 147lbs for the remainder of his career and knock off this new generation of young talent. Nobody will beat him.:nono

This is why i want him to fight the winner of Trout/Alvarez
At 147 and below no one touches him but with Canelo or Trout having a big weight advantage it makes it even the playing field a tiny bit because Floyd is on another level skill wise so he has the advantage their
It will be interesting to see who he fights next

But it's clear that the weight isn't a weight where he is at his best. I want to see him at his most effective weight which is 147. He needs to stay there.

It's his fault for moving up, i dont think any wins at 147 do anything for his legacy anymore but the winner of Trout vs Alvarez would

So much ***** jizz in here it's unbelievable. Listen, if he's that dominant, that much of a phenom he wouldn't feel the need to:

1)Fight less than once a year
2)"Retire" for almost two years when the Welterweight division had some dangerous and/or undefeated prospects
3)Demand OSDT from a guy that was supposed to be "easy work"

Floyd is cherry picking Guerrero. He should have fought Alexander. Now that's a beast

Ward, Donaire and Marquez are all top 5 p4p rated guys that said they wanted OSDT for their fights :happy

I agree 100%. I think he went up to test his effectiveness and conformability at 154lbs he tried in 2007 and then in 2012 my belief is if he really felt he could be effective at a 6th weight class I'm sure he'd campaign there.

Floyd said he doesn't even know what Testosterone Replacement Therapy is and one of his BFFs Don Hale runs them. LOL.

This ol chestnut. Pretty much could be said about all the other greats there have been.

Floyd missed the fight of his life due to his own stubbornness. He will be remembered as a great but that question mark will follow him around.

Imagine if Ray Leonard didnt fight Roberto Duran... :nut
