It seems after the 6th round Floyd seems to always get stronger and finish his fights alot fresher than his opponent. Floyd, legs are still great and his defensive abilities are still near great as well. Floyd, uses alot of energy in the process and he seems to be the best 2nd half fighter ever. Your thoughts?

When you don't throw combos, your output is minimal and you are fighting fighters with cement-blocks as feet, it's not hard to look great is it?

    Pacquiao was still fast.

What about his legs and his defensive mechanics which take up energy to the max. Sometimes his opponents anywhere between 600-800 punches a fight. So dodging heavy blows takes up energy. He does throw combos as well. maybe not to your liking, but he throws them.

Very rarely. He's pot-shots. That's his style now.

The pacman was a great 2nd half fighter. I've never seen anybody sustain a workrate like Pacquiao against great fighters and still throw hard punches the whole fight.

I started watching Salvador Sanchez a few days ago for the first time and he was very similar in that regard. He could throw bombs for 15 rounds and not get tired.

What particularly fast fighters were out there for Floyd other than Pacquiao and Khan?

Judah was faster than Floyd himself.

I agree, if you dont have Floyd beat, figured out, by the 6 round it pretty much is over after that.

The only time where the script was flipped was the first Castillo fight. Floyd won the first 5 rounds then lost the majority of the remaining 7.

This is true. But that's common with technical fighters who needs 3-4 rounds to solve their opponents and break them down.

Well to be fair Castillo has excellent stamina and Floyd had a shoulder problem.

I'd say prime Pacquiao was better in the 2nd half. His output was insane and he increased it the longer the fight went on. That's expending enormous amount of energy. Mayweather is always fresh but he doesn't throw a lot in fights either, while Pac is pure energy.

It's similar nowadays but Pac's output his a little lower. It does still increase after the 6th round, but he focuses more on efficiency/accuracy rather than throwing 70-80 punches per round.

He also does not go for the kill anymore. He doesn't throw every punch like he wants to destroy anymore. He's boxed for points recently. He used to just try and put them in the grave.
