LOL.... He's "composed". I get what you are saying. Yes... Floyd is one fighter who is cool as a cucumber in the ring. He's proven to be have the ability to stay calm in hairy situations where most panic or make mistakes. For that...Floyd is one of the best fighters of our generation. Of course it helps that he's got unreal talent and operates with impeccable defensive savvy. All that said.....he's an P4P ass hole who's self perception is far greater than what reality is. I can't wait to watch his fight though.:-(

You think he is calmer in the ring than Vitali? I'm not saying he isn't, but Vitali is a pretty relaxed fighter.

So is Valuev now I think about it... he often looks like he's on his 8th fight of the day and just about to head home after a boring day in the office. It's like he doesn't even take it that seriously and doesn't really care about winning or losing

True....actually JMM is more proven as being a cool operater. One thing though....JMM can be drawn into a fire fight when it's not the most optimal time. Floyd won't, which many knock him for but it's his ability to "stick to the game plan" that allows him to maintain control in his fights. It just sometimes comes at the expense of entertainment.

I have no problem with people saying he has a good chin. But the idiocy lies when they confuse two seperate things...

    1. Ability to take a punch (chin)
    2. Ability to avoid being hit (defence)

Floyd hasn't tasted the canvas due to the second point, not the first (which is what determines a good chin or not!). In fact, the few times in his career where he has been hit by a clean powerpunch, he's been stunned and hurt in nearly all of them. Not trying to say he has a bad chin or anything, but to suggest he has a great one because he's not tasted the canvas before, is one of the most "stupidest" notions the *****s have made.

I see this is turning into a "Hate Floyd and his fans thread"..
But is the TS really that much off?
ISnt Floyd a very calm fighter? If he isnt, who is "cooler" than Floyd inside the square circle?
Floyd is a very calm fighter indeed..
Along with the K bros and Andre Ward.

I think I would be most calmest too and have a solid chin if I was fighting Tata(Gramps) Baldomir and a fighter half my size 2 divisions smaller instead of prime Cotto and Margarito. Floyd is one of the most talented Ive ever seen, just probably most overrated.
