To answer your question, NO!! It does seem Floyd was willing to fight this time and agreed to quite a few requests from Pac, some absurd, like the 10 mil $$ x pound penalty.... but then Pacquiao couldn't agree to some equal testing... YEP, EQUAL FOR BOTH!!! There's a spanish say that translates something like "what's equal for 2, is not an advantage for any."

A fighter has the right to ask for extra testing according to the NSAC. I don't remember Mayweather saying that he thinks Pac is on something in several interviews. Can you show me those several interviews? Why did team Pacquiao come up with illogical excuses as to why Pacquiao couldn't take the tests if he was clean? Mayweather is not to blame. There is nothing wrong with wanting a fight to be fair.

I don't have the time right now to point you to the specific interview, but yes, Mayweather has made those statements in the press. If you'd like a look at them, I'd suggest you Google it. And really, whether or not he has the right to request something is not the point. Boxing is pretty much devoid of major regulation, so anyone is free to demand pretty much anything. But boxing disputes are almost always relegated to specific item like gloves, ring size, and who gets to enter first.

It is also a fact that Mayweather has never made these demands of another fighter in the past. So, why now? What is it about Pac that demands extra testing? As you may know, Pac has never tested positive for any illegal substance before a fight.

I think it speaks, positively, to Manny as an opponent. I really don't think Pac or his fans should have taken this as a diss. If anything it is the highest praise of one's abilities. "So I am looking so good you don't believe it is real? I tested and passed! Now what? Your "0" has to go! Get ready to get KTFO!" This was actually the HIGHEST form of respect that can be paid to a combatant.

The problem is these scumbags on the side chumming the water. Now there is a swarm of sharks.

Thats all well and good, but Manny SHOULD have called his bluff, agreed to it all etc, just to make the fight happen and a big **** you to PBF.

He didnt and has left a cloud hanging over himself aswell as being atleast 50% responsible for the fight not taking place.

Simple suspicion is enough in your book to scuttle one of the biggest fights in history? Don't you require any evidence?

What right do you have to deny him for even asking? As you've stated this is one of the biggest fights in boxing history, so why not ensure that they both are going into the fight on level playing grounds?:patsch

Blame game on both sides. It will never end until something significant happens to PBF and Pac.

Okay. My mistake. But in my opinion a fighter does have some responsibilty for what members of his camp say to the press.

Maybe Mayweather believes Pacquiao might be on PEDs and he wants to make sure the fight is fair. If you felt your opponent was cheating, why shouldn't you ask for a test? Would you want a fair fight?

I have no right to deny him that. I'm simply asking why he would risk one of the biggest fights in history by demanding something that he has never asked for in the past. Floyd has never asked for a fighter to submit to Olympic style testing. Why now? My guess is that it was a simple ploy that blew up in Floyd's face. Actually, that is what many other more astute posters have averred and I agree with them. He humiliated Manny in the Press and Manny took it personally. And apparently he's rich enough to pass up even a superfight. Because, anyone who thinks he would actually get caught doping is out of their minds. Even if the guy was on roids, how much would it take to bribe a boxing official to clear him? A hundred? Two hundred thousands? Do you really think they poleax a forty million dollar fight? No....This is personal.

If I thought my opponent was cheating, I'd make damn sure to gather some evidence before I made unreasonable demands. The fact is that Pac has never tested positive for any illegal substance in his 9-year career. So, that prompts the question: why does Mayweather suspect that Pac is on roids? What...because he's put on ten or fifteen pounds of muscle over the past five years? David Haye has put on damn near thirty pounds of muscle in only about a year and a half. Are people demanding that he submit to Olympic style testing? ???
