"P4P number 1 Floyd Mayweather hit out at the critics of his style and fans who dont like his style heres what he had to say " People call it potshotting its smarts look at me im 30 years old retired in the prime of my career and talking sense, not slurring and got my head screwed on the sports writers and the fans aint the ones in the ring taking the punches they aint the ones who have to go home to there kids with bumps and knocks etc so i fight smart and win, I admire fighters that lay it on the line im like most i love watching blood, sweat and tears but look at Erik Morales who i enjoyed watching hes 30 and hes finished as a fighter nothing left his face is scarred and he now will retire with his faculties not all there, Im not potshotting im smart not like huggybear Hatton"

For once, I agree with Floyd! People just hate the man so much, they can't find any holes in his game, so they have to reach to find ways to diss him. Floyd wouldn't be undefeated if he fought every fight like Cotto does. The man uses his god-given abilities to the fullest extent to win matches. And that includes his superb footwork and ability to make you miss.

I dont hate on his style, I prefer boxers to bangers, yet THE BEST can do BOTH. Sometimes, it's necessary of the course of a career to stand and force the action. I.E. SRL was mostly a boxer but was able to stand and fight when he had to.

All that is really being asked of PBf is that he TEST his style and ability vs THE TOP OPPONENTS!! Something every other great Champion has done and many did far more of it.

So Mr. I'm Prime and 30 and still look good??? That's all great, but whats up with leaving a real LEGACY and proving to the world how superior you are, and that you're "style' is the most effective.

I cant stand the man, but I'll respect victories and accomplishments. Many hated SRL the man, but when it was said and done?? SRL gets 10 times the respect PBF does, because HE PROVED HE DESEREVED IT against the best opposition. ****ing Floyd would **** his pants looking at an undefeated Tommy Hearns at 47 right now:lol: :good

In a way, Floyd is too good for his own good. i.e. he dominates his opponents thru such superior boxing skills, but in the process doesn't win over a lot of fans.
As time goes by and Floyd's reflexes start to slow up, you might actually see him in some more physical fights where he isn't able to dominate so handily.
Unless he actually does stay retired, but I think the chance of that is incredibly sliim.

My respect for PBF has gone up now ive read that statement. (if it is by him.) Because obviously he is the one in the ring and his family and health should be his number one priority. (not to mention his bank balance!) However, the man should also stop saying he is the best fighter of all times because he doesnt dare to be great, doesnt fight the best and is a sherwd like businessman really....Many greats retired with their faculties intact while taking risks and fighting the best.....Floyds attitude is practical and very understandable and to be honest correct, but it doesnt make for entertainment and doesnt make for him being the best boxer of all times either.....

Another way of looking at it?? PBF hasnt faced the top level of guy's that can really TEST his style. Corrales and castillo- both good fighters but walk forward bangers, Judah- talented gave floyd a little work but has been KO'd by other's Tszyu/Cotto, DLH?? Floyd out boxed DLH at the end, lets see him do the same to SSM the better fighter of the two.

BTW?? Floyd has been taken to task in the gym so the myth of reflexes being ABOVE ANYONE ELSE is more fairy tale thAN REALITY. I'll believe in the supernatural WHEN he does it to the top guy's.

WTF?? Hey carlito, you taking shots at me now??? ****ING PLEASE!! The entire board shits on you, yet i've never gone out of my way to do so, and now suddenly you wanna talk ****????:finger

I prefer boxers to bangers, it aint my fault Marg gets out boxed because HE's ONE DIMENSIONAL. If he was truly among the best?/ He'd be able to do a little of BOTH!!! He cant and thats exactly why he lost to Paul Williams:good That's exactly why he'll get beat again, when it happens as well.

I also prefer WOMEN, and you dressed up like RUPAUL ,doesnt cut it:good
