Floyd not getting respect has nothing to do with race. Mayweather is arrogant. He ruined the fight with Pac by his hugging like a ****,running scared and head lock/arm lock. He is a boring fighter and many thought Pac won. Floyd is also a cherry picker.

As I told this has nothing to do with race. Look at Michael Jordan, many loves and respect him.

Mohammad Ali wasn't really loved during his career either, just saying.

For every Ali, there is a Frazier. For every Tyson, there is a Douglas. It is not race. It is how THE PERSON is perceived. Some people with a chip on their shoulder want to attribute it to race but it's not. It is behavior.

It's the difference between a winner and a champion.

Mayweather is a winner. He wins, but he doesn't get respect or love or appreciation.

Pacquiao is a champion. He can win OR lose, and he will still receive the respect, love, appreciation, and more.

Like Tyson said, being the best isn't being despised by the people. It's about being accepted by the people.

Ahaha race has nada to do with it, zilch. Clowns/*****s here act as if tho there was no Leonard, Roy Jones, or Holyfield before Floyd came along. Anyways, the rise of Terrence Crawford and the amount of love he's getting already is a testament to it not being about race. I am looking forward to Crawford being Floyd's replacement, making America love boxing again. I'm happy for Floyd making that ridiculous amount of dough, but not happy with him what he's doing for boxing. People complain he "runs", but I think a great fighter should be able to catch him like Castillo and Maidana did. Unfortunately, not many elite fighters with that style except for one that has to dehydrate in order to fight Floyd. Still, GGG is the only worthy opponent for Floyd atm even at 154 and the ONLY opponent Floyd can FINALLY get the world's respect. Has to take risks and shock the world just like he did with Corrales. Floyd knows what to do and he can do it too, but he won't. At least that's what he makes us think.

You know how to solve the Mayweather problem, BEAT HIM! 48 / 0. If you can't do that then STFU.

He is a talented but loud-mouthed, douchebag who constantly puts on boring fights why should he expect his "countrymen and boxing fans" to respect him?

Pacquaio is a very poor example of "champion" considering he has an excuse for every loss.

When I think "champion" prize fighter, I actually think of the Micky Ward or Arturo Gatti types - they may be out matched in a tonne of fights, but they grit their teeth, they're willing to bang and they never make mistakes should they come up short.

Pacquiao and his shoulder injury has definitely hindered his reputation a little, but he's that loved that I think the public will forgive him for it.

Imagine if it was Mayweather who lost and making all these excuses, he would be crucified by the public.
