Based on comments made during 24/7 and after the Mosley fight, does anyone else think that Jr is gravitating toward Sr and away from Roger in regards to his training? He questioned Roger's age and speed during the 24/7 series and then after the fight he mentioned his father first when giving credit for his gameplan. I guess since Roger might go to jail, it's a convenient time to let Daddy step back in.

    That will be his undoing.

I just found it very interesting that Floyd would mention Roger's hand speed during training and his age. Both of the brothers have health issues so maybe it doesn't mean anything. I just get the feeling that Jr is leaning more toward his father than his uncle as a trainer these days. I think it showed in his fight style against Mosley too. He was much more aggressive than he usually is and he gave props to Sr for his gameplan in his post fight interview. Something to think about and look for in future fights.

Sr. is usually more defensive minded than Roger from what I've seen though.

Or 24 7 is a reality show that's meant for us to learn moar about the fighters. Floyd cares about one of his family members. What's new?

No. Floyd and Roger have great chemistry, which is why they've continued to work together for so long.

Unless Roger gets locked up, he will be the trainer, BUT since it looks like he may do some time, Floyd Sr might be back in the corner.

One thing i noticed and i think you may agree with me. Roger and May is a great match, however, when senior came back he improved him more especially with the use of jab, look at Marquez fight and Mosley. That was a different Floyd. But all props to Roger, he is a great trainer and great reader of the game.

That would be a big mistake. Roger is no doubt one of the top 2 trainers today with Freddie Roach. Sr is hugely overrated. He tinkered with DLH's and Hatton's style and made them worse, having them neglect their best assets to play around with ineffective new strategies.

Roger has diabetes. Sr. has sarcadosis. He will be retired before anything changes.
