Canelo and his team when they were idiots requested it and Leonard Ellerbe called their bluff. A good win but not his best.
Floyd when he was fighting Cotto: " In my mind Miguel Cotto is still undefeated. He lost to one guy who was cheating and to another at a catchweight." Then he goes and fights Canelo at a catchweight. So according to his standards and his words Canelo is still undefeated.
Floyd once said, "I can contradict myself, I'm not perfect"... but according to flo mos, only Bob arum lies.
Floyd of all people complaining about another fighter maybe cheating ?? Floyd was TBE at cheating ROFL
I clearly stated my opinion. In a bizarre twist you insert fighters I did not name, spastically spouting some BS comparison of Loma Lopez with Floyd Canelo. Then you spittle about fanboys, twirling further from the issue at hand. You're a mess. You're making things up to try and foster your notion that dear Floyd did not cherrypick young Canelo, going so far as to produce a false claim stating that I said Floyd wasn't a great fighter. In your latest diatribe you again lie like a five dollar ***** saying that I said Lopez was more experienced than Canelo. Amazing the lengths you have gone through to protect the aura of your idol, your pappa pimp. I believe you've lost your mind.
It is actual scientific fact that men reach their physical primes anywhere from 28 to 32. Additionally, it is being found that that prime period is being shifted to even older ages.
With the exception of heavyweights no boxer below reaches their "prime" years at age 36 in 4 weight divisions above where they first started.
Nobody said 36 was prime. Nobody. But it was correctky pointed out that Floyd was closer to his prime than a 23 yr old.
So if say 32 is the cut off for someone's prime and Mayweather is 36 he's four years out of his prime and 4 weight divisions higher then when he started. When would you say Canelo hit his stride?
You're an overzealous Loma fanboi. People like you love to hate and try to discredit PBF's win every chance you get over Canelo by saying Canelo was green and inexperienced despite PBF being 36 faded and in his 5th weight class. You want to act like PBF was prime or near to it and Canelo who had over 40 pro fights had never been in the ring before, when the truth is he was much better, more experienced and more accomplished than Lopez when he fought Loma. Not once do I recall during the build up or after the Loma-Lopez fight did anyone mention anything about Lopez being green and inexperienced despite him being younger with way fewer fights than Canelo had when he fought PBF. I'm pointing it out because it shows you how fans have double standards and are hypocrites and it needed to be addressed and brought to light, if you don't like it then too bad.
They asked for it the got it and we’re ****ed up. If you think that’s why he lost then more fool you. He lost because he was up against someone better, faster, more skill-full with more know how.
"Not once do I recall during the build up or after the Loma-Lopez fight did anyone mention anything about Lopez being green and inexperienced despite him being younger with way fewer fights"... Bad analogy as Lomo & Lopez have similar "PROFFESIONAL" bouts...
Not even close. Loma had pro fights in that WSB thing he was doing there's a reason why he was fast tracked he was seen as a once in a generation talent and got a ton of hype because of it. Also Loma was younger than PBF was when he fought Canelo and Canelo was older than Lopez when he fought Loma. The comparison couldn't be more spot on and it's not only if you're a PBF hater and a loma fanboi who can't be objective.
