Ortiz by KO would give you some pretty damn good odds. I might even throw a small chunk on that, even though I doubt it'll happen.
Does Pac organize his fights? Is Pac his own manager? Or does Pac's PEOPLE handle his business? Pac always refers to his promoter.. They're word on what they agreed to is more likely to be what's negotiated. :thumbsup Yes Floyd backed out of second negotiations because Team Pacquiao asked for a 7 day cutoff and he clearly stated no cutoff or no fight. :good Yes Pac's fans and a lot of the general public are waiting on Floyd, just like Arum wants.... But to those who look at the FACTS and only FACTS see that Team Pacquiao has yet to contact Team Mayweather stating they've agreed to the testing... And that's what killed the negotiations. EACH TIME. So Team Floyd is still waiting on Pac to contact them stating they'll take the tests. What would Floyd have a change of heart about? All he asked for was the tests.. Who's guessing? What's a guess and not a fact that I wrote?
PAC knows his role...he's a fighter. He prepares and trains to be in the best condition possible for his oppoent. But PAC has the final say in what he does or how he does it. Roach and Bob have expressed this numerous times. But PAC has a TEAM...those who have roles like any other camp. Floyd always refers to his advisers and promoters as he's done many times during interviews when he's unwilling to answer questions. PAC can do the same thing yet when he's adamant about something he'll speak on it direct....as in the case of that video clip where he is asked direclty agreeing to ALL of the demands Floyd needs. There's NO stronger, nor more reliable source than the two men at the center of the debate.... Manny and Floyd. You hear a bunch of **** from "TEAM MEMBERS" on both sides that the fighters themselves negate....so you can get 2nd hand inforamtion and take that to the bank if you want to....but more than likely you'll be getting bull **** fed to you. But if Floyd backed out of 2nd negotiations...... That would mean that Floyd must have forgotten b/c from his own mouth...there were NEVER negotiations that took place with Ross, HBO and both camps.:think Floyd has yet to show us the contract he said he had that he signed....so I doubt you'll see PAC's contract showing he agreed to all the tests if Floyd can't produce the origianl contract he's been so vocal about yet unwilling to provide. Floyd origianlly wanted to expose PAC as HYPE. He origianlly wanted the fight so bad that he couldn't wait for PAC to say his name so he could make the fight and earn his easiest payday ever. A change of heart took place from WANTING the fight so bad to holding back and claiming PAC was TOO good to be natural.....when before PAC was a midget and one demensional.
:rofl I love you Pac fans. Floyd facing JMM in 2009 after almost 2 years off is similar to Pac facing him 2 years later after Floyd. Same with Mosley facing Floyd after beating Margo a year prior to Manny beating him is similar.
This, ...... looks like Floyd has shrewdly chosen another opponent at welterweight. Pacman V Marquez and Mayweather V Ortiz ....... these two are having a ****ing laugh .......... at us! atsch
You floyd fans kill me So fighting JMM at 144 or 146 is better than PAC facing JMM at 130 or 126 4 yrs earlier? At his ideal weight? Floyd beat an inactive Shane who was already 38 or 39 yrs old....coming off a 14 month lay off any fighter, let alone one that is 38 yrs old is gonna have some effects. Case in point......Those wins were no better than PAC's wins...No worse either.
So do you believe Koncz was lying about stating they only agreed to a 7 day cutoff? True or false, no full story explaining your answer and why this and that. Just yes or no, was he lying? If I say this condition has to be met or you're wasting my time and the other party doesn't meet this condition, no negotiations are going to happen. Koncz said they only agreed to 7 days, hence no negotiations needed to happen. Again use FACTS not just try to toss blame on someone. I never said Pac needs to show a contract where he agreed, won't happen and we all know it. What CAN/SHOULD happen is that they contact Team Mayweather stating they've agreed to all his testing demands. And you know DAMN WELL that if they did that it would be in the media. :deal Called hyping a fight. Everyone knows Pac isn't a one demensional fighter and Floyd isn't that much bigger than Pac to be calling him a midget.
:huh Which one of my posts said that? Reach much? You said what Pac did taking Mosley a year after Mayweather beat him and Mora drawed with him and 2 years after Floyd beat JMM taking a fight with him is similar to what Floyd did when he fought them. I laughed then you come back with that first paragraph? Exactly why I love you guys! :rofl Floyd came off almost a 2 year layoff before he fought JMM. We all saw how that went. Case in point right? Then Pac wants to fight him 2 years later and you compare it to when Floyd did. :rofl
Are we in english class teacher?? Your boxing IQ is horrific. Your an ortiz fan? You fooled the hell out of me. Tell me, who else is out there to fight mayweather? Ortiz Just went up to 147 pounds and beat the WBC Champ! Its the best fight out there. If you dont want to shell out 55$ for the fight then dont... But please stop bitching!
1. Because everything in life is 50/50 either it will happen or it won't and 8-1 is 4x the odds of the above.
1.) Ortiz could'nt beat Peterson even w/ 2 Kd's 2.)PBF is 10000000000 times the boxer peterson is 3.)PBF is precise. He might bust up ortiz....then will see if he really has "heart" 4.)Ortiz has 1 good win at welter...... 5.)Against a not so good paper champion!!
I have not once said Mayweather should not fight Ortiz... I have simply pointed out the truth that this is nothing more than a tune-up against an overmatched opponent... I don't blame Mayweather for taking a tune-up after a long lay-off, but don't try to turn it into something it's not. If Mayweather fights Ortiz, and then doesn't go on to fight Pac or Martinez... then he'll just expose himself as the coward that many already think he is.
Not with ortiz recent momentum and his new established mexican fan base. After he beat berto he was on every major network and spoke clear spanish and mexican cobsider him one of theirs. Ill be watching this fight and ill be doing so because of ortiz.
