Floyd: Loma Fought Tank's Leftovers; Went Distance!

Twink won his current WBA strap in a vacant title shot against a career 126 pounder who was coming up in weight, a loss, and a 17 month layoff. How Cuellar qualified for a shot at the vacant 130 title I don't know. And even worse, the WBA demoted the actual real champion to regular champion and elevated Twink to super champion despite the fact the former had beaten the man who beat the man who'd made 11 defences of it. Absolutely disgusting act of corruption. Cancio is the real WBA champion not paper champ Twink.

Then for Twink's first defence instead of lining up an actual 130 pounder for him they rope in another 126 pounder in Mares who was also coming off a loss, and then when Mares pulls out injured they replace him with a 122 pounder who had been stopped x 3 at 122 or below, which is why everyone with a functioning brain knew it was a complete mismatch given the fact that Twink is a huge 130 pounder and a huge punching one at that who has already lost a world title on the scales because he couldn't make weight and very nearly lost this one after failing to make weight the first time.

And now allegedly Twink is going to fight another featherweight coming off a loss (a 1st round KO), only this time said munchkin isn't even a boxer. No Twink is fighting a freaking kickboxer who was a bantamweight just over a year ago.

Translation: We want nothing to do with Loma until he's old and grey and way past his prime.

Ignore all the context. Two can play that game but do we even really need to?

And not a route Floyd should really be going down considering he only beat 3 unbeaten fighters out of his 50 fights. Floyd sure was fond of fighting other people's leftovers. In fact he made an entire career out of it. Loma has already matched the feat of beating 3 unbeaten fighters and he's done it in just 13 fights.

JLC, who was robbed against Floyd, had been stopped 4 times before he fought him

Tsyzu KO'd Judah in 2 rounds, Judah floored Floyd, gave him a very tough fight and took 4 rounds off of him on most people's cards

Manny beat the Jesus out of Cotto, dropped him twice and stopped him in the 12th, Cotto went the full distance against Floyd and gave him a very tough fight

Manny KO2 Hatton, out cold from a single shot, Floyd TKO10 Hatton and the later caused him problems despite the fact he was fighting 2 men in the ring

Devon Alexander shut Maidana out 10-0 and that was a Maidana who was allowed to wear his puncher's gloves too (JMM said it makes a big difference), Maidana who wasn't allowed to wear his puncher's gloves arguably beat Floyd and many people scored it a draw.

No Twink had over 220 amateur fights, whereas conversely Gassiev, who is only 11 months older than Twink, unified two belts against opponents from his own weight class, both of whom are serious punchers at that weight too, and he wasn't too chicken to face Usyk despite having had only 25 amateur fights, almost 200 less than Twink.
