No, it would have been worse. Maidana was ready to quit vs Floyd, I can't imagine what Pac would have done to him.

Floyd has no interesting in testing himself against a killer like Pac. How can people not realize this is amazing

There was some good and bad in there for me. You mentioned the good, and have always been one to overly focus on the combo factor. It's only a problem if he doesn't know how to dig deep when he has to. Against Hatton he threw plenty more combinations. However, the timing wasn't the sharpest, his hand eye coordination is slipping just a little bit. Pac relies far more on his physical abilities being the aggressive, volatile, energy-zapping explosive type fighter. So he could very well be declining faster. We will have to see how he performs against Marquez. It has to be an early KO to really impress. Floyd looked good in many ways too, though. Some positives, some drawbacks. He didn't lie when he said that he was bringing back the more entertaining, 90's Floyd.

Floyd looks superb offensively and defensively against Ortiz than Mosley fight.

I am finally convinced (though still hoping to be wrong) that Floyd is reluctant to fight Pac. The statement he made in an interview with Rick Reeno of *********** and quoted below proves this. An implied admission perhaps that he is getting there in age?

"Where was he in 96, 97, 98, 99, 2000, 2001 when I was dominating the game. Now when I'm 34 they say this guy wants to fight. They didn't ask me when I was in my twenties or when I was in my teens."

There are several other admissions that affirms Floyd is scared of the Pacman:

Now ask yourself, "a fighter just don't get to 25 years old and all of a sudden

"But a man goes up from 105 to 154 and you say, 'Oh, it's all natural.' C'mon man, wake up". - Floyd 9/18/11
