I agree with the analysis, but I disagree with the "hidden message" in this post. Some X factor kept the opponent from being his normal self so this is less about FMJ's ability.

First of all opponent selection - FMJ was killing two birds with one stone. He needed a tune up. He needed an opponent that squarely placed him in the "P4P conversation". Fortunately, JMM challenged him. Mission accomplished.

Second, insinuating JMM's performance (speed/combinations) had something to do with the weight - Really? No. FMJ's style just does not use weight as a factor. JMM just did/would not have an answer at ANY weight. Had we all gone back in time and and JMM met a 130lbs FMJ the out come would have been FAR worse. He had the training to get off, he couldn't. JMM is a great fighter, but PBF is on a different level.

All in all, I think everything said was true. The last point especially so. FMJ is going to have to REALLY reach to make these next fights dangerous. His skill level is so high that hype just does not work any more. We REALLY need to see danger. Mosely, Cotto, Margarito, Paul Williams, or Manny. Manny's stock went down because after this fight I think he will dominate Manny.
