THIS just THIS, the difference was 1 round, if you are the biggest castillo's fan in the planet you could defend a more or less biased draw, but no way in hell mayweather lost that fight. It's not so hard to understand, this guy actually scored the fight. Now you all can do the same and stop shaming yourselves everytime this topic arises.
Floyd had no idea how to deal with a relentless limited brawler, other than getting on the bike and stinking out the joint as per modus operandi
it was a close shave for floyd. good job the judges scored right. If it was down to most posters on here floyd would have lost the majority of his fights. dumb
Basically if you're a Floyd fan, you'll score for Floyd If you don't like Floyd, you'll score for Castillo
No, there's no way floyd lost rounds 1,2,3,4 and 5. And theres no way castillo won every single round from that point of the fight on. You have at least to give one round to floyd (I repeat I think it was the 10th round). That makes 6 rounds MINIMUM for floyd, no possible discussion about, because those rounds are clearer than water. No way floyd lost that fight. Unfortunately (and because of threads like this one) I've watched that fight more than I would like, and I have scored this fight more times than I would have liked too, the most you can give to castillo is a draw, and that's being incredibly generous. You know? I've been in this thread like 100k times, and everytime is the same, not a single scorecard showing castillo's win, wonder why? because the very moment someone actually scores the fight, he realizes that posting a scorecard saying that castillo won is so ridiculous that people would laugh at him. Actually ledermann's scorecard was so comical that people are still making fun of him, that day he scored like ****. You can tell when someone didnt score this fight the very moment they say "mayweather lost to castillo".
I've got the fight up on a tab, I'll watch it when I get the time. It doesn't help that there isn't a crisp quality link for the fight.
You can post your scorecard later then, if you dont mind, it would be nice to talk about that. Even if I watched the fight too many times, one more time will not kill me.
From these posts.. If you thought Floyd won.. You've actually given your scorecard.. If you think Castillo won.. You say the same.. "He landed more punches and was the aggressor"
Supposedly injured it in his last day of training then complained to his corner in between an early round about tweaking it. Like Pac in their fight, I'm not really buying it too much.
I do think the scorecards were off and that's the largest complaint about the fight. One judge had it 116-111 and that looks a point or two off. If it was 114-112 down the line or one judge had it a draw, there'd be no real controversy, in my opinion.
There's not a shred of proof to the matter incidentally which is very strange and his performance from what I remembered of it seemed to indicate otherwise. Pac at least had official medical evidence of a significant tear but Mayweather didn't. He could've hurt his shoulder a little, yet he used his shoulder far, far more than someone with a rotator cuff injury should (and a great level more than Pac did). This leads me to believe that Floyd could have possibly had a bit of a shoulder issue, but it wasn't going to have a significant effect in the ring.
Bingo! It was the judges scorecards that caused the controversy for this fight. Their scores were horrible. Close fight but PBF edged it.
Defintely a close fight and not for an average fan to score.. Ive watched it several times.. I dont call it a blatant robbery or anything like that but I can understand why some people think Castillo won..
