Loses to Leonard and Hearns. They are natural WWs and just overall bigger.

    Mayweather beats Duran.

I am sorry to be the purist by saying that they all beat Floyd,Duran had the style to get the job done Leonard was the bigger man with equal of better skills and Hearns was just plain to big for floyd and to hard a puncher.

Floyd would probably not fight any of them anyway based on his track record.

Loses to all 3. And that's no slight on Floyd. He just couldn't compete with those guys at those weights. Leonard wide UD, Hearns by stoppage, and I think Duran mangles him badly.

At 147 both Leonard and Hearns beat him.

Probably not fair to class Hearns & Leonard below that (same as it isnt fair to class Floyd at 147).

Duran at 140 destroys Floyd as he does at 135.

Pound for pound though... Floyd for me is better than Hearns (controversial I know so let the barrage commence) and there's a slim chance that he's around the same as Leonard but Duran is light years ahead.

For what its worth, Floyd for me is top 35 P4P, Hearns top 40, Leonard top 30 but Duran is #3.

This surprises me, of them all I think Duran is the toughest fight for Floyd.

What is your thinking for PBF winning eze?

Mayweather loses all three..............badly. He is also brutalised in the most sickening fashion by Roberto Duran. Mayweather has problems pronouncing words after that fight.

He loses to all 3, holds his own against SRL and Duran.

I rarely match PBF up with great welterweights like Hearns and Leonard in mythical matchups. I think better, more intriguing matchups are at lower weight classes, guys like Locche, Whitaker, Tszyu, Cervantes, etc...

I'd say Mayweather has a much better chance at beating Duran than he does of beating Hearns.

    Touche

Mainly Duran was a better boxer but to go into detail...

The Floyd that fought Castillo in their first fight was being hunted down and at times outboxed by a fighter with a similar style to Duran, but Duran was twice the boxer Castillo was (no slight on Castillo just how highly I rate Duran). For me Duran boxes to a UD over 12 rounds against that Floyd and even finishes him early over 15 rounds.

I can see the similar arguement for Leonard's win over Duran being a mark of how Floyd could fair, but this was at WW where Duran was not as strong. Duran was the greatest Lightweight ever for me and I only see Sweet Pea getting near him (which stylisticly could be a very, very close fight) but Floyd could not pot shot a victory over a more aggressive, stronger Duran. Also, Duran's defence is underrated by most (not necessarily you, I dont know what your opinions of Duran are) so I dont see him getting caught by half the shots that most of Floyd's opponenets got caught by.

Also (this is a speculative point), Oscar came closest to beating PBF with a stern jab but tired in the later rounds. Duran, whilst not jabbing his way to victory, would not have tired in the same way Oscar did but instead would rough Floyd up more than he has ever been roughed up in his career. I just dont see Floyd's tactics getting anywhere with Duran.

I agree with another poster who said that Hearns is all wrong for PBF, but I think he stands a better chance of picking off Hearns than he does Duran. Albeit Hearns still wins for me
