Hearns wins, either by stoppage or wide UD, really nothing floyd could do to win this fight at welter a p4p fight taking the floyd of 130 v hearns of 147/54 would be far more intresting a scenario, i would still fancy hearns to win by UD but would not rule out a floyd victory there

Its far from impossible.

Hearns was a huge welterweight and a monsterous puncher even at higher weights. If Tommy tagged Floyd (and sooner or later i reckon he would) it would be all over, and that is as likely to happen in the first as any other round.

I don't even know why anyone bothers putting these things up any more. I can't remember there EVER being a thread on this forum involving a past great and a current or recently retired fighter that wasn't ridiculously in favor of the past great.

The only times these forums give the other guy a chance is when the fight is proposed at a weight where the past great wasn't at his best. The Tito - Chaves at 147 thread yesterday was the first time in AGES I'd seen the recent guy dominate the thread.

 

While i agree with your point in this case they are bang on, floyd has no chance against hearns at 147 no chance at all

 

I totally agree with you Pimp. This is no disrespect to Floyd. At 130 PBF is 50/50 with Arguello, and at 135 Duran beats PBF rather handily, but Floyd beats Arguello who was starting to fade a bit. At 140 Floyd/Pryor is probably 60/40 in Pryor's favor. Saying that is giving PBF, who I don't like at all, a **** load of credit.

147 is a whole different story. Hearns, Robinson, SRL, and probably Duran would just be to much for Floyd. Hearns and Robinson would just be to big, to strong, and packin' way to much fire power. Anything Floyd can do SRL did better. Again, that is no disrespect to PBF. We are talking about some of the best welters who ever walked this freaking planet!

 

These daily, non-stop Floyd vs X threads suggest to me the authors are seeking validation or attention from other members for their "hate" or dislike of Mayweather - anticipating ESB members will co-sign with them and their anti-PBF opinions and rhetoric. :roll:
