He may cherrypick now but in the past he had balls. He fought Manfredy when he had quite a bit of TKO wins almost back to back and fought Hernandez when Floyd only had about 18 fights. Ya have to give the man his due. Hopefully he attempts to clean out the WW division and moves up to face Williams, Martinez, and/or Pavlik.

"Duck Dodger" Mayweather is one of the most overrated boxers of the last 10-15 years. End of story.

    Floyd's resume:

-A past prime Genaro Hernandez. Still a good win considering how well he performed.
-A blowout of Angel Manfredy. Showed what class he was as a fighter, though not a great win in itself.
-A dissection, albeit in a difficult fight, of Emmanuel Augustus. Again, just a fight that showed off Floyd's level rather than being a top notch win.
-A clinic over a weight-drained Corrales. Regardless of Corrales's condition, Floyd's performance was flawless and it was indeed a very impressive win.
-A win over Carlos Hernandez after breaking his hand halfway through. A good win given his condition, hardly top notch though.
-A TKO win over the tough and rugged Jesus Chavez. Impressive display of clean counter-punching, again not a top notch win.
-Two bouts with Jose Luis Castillo. The first being an arguable win for Castillo, the second being a safety first display that saw him win comfortably, although not in very impressive fashion. This against the best opponent he'd ever faced.
-An easy win over Corley outside of the fact that he was legitimately hurt in the fight. Corley was a B or C level fighter.
-Domination of a shot, C level Arturo Gatti.
-Domination of a shop-worn Sharmba Mitchell at Welterweight.
-A win over Zab Judah which saw Floyd get dropped and lose 4 rounds. This being the Judah who'd just come off a loss to Baldomir.
-An easy but unimpressive decision win over the same Baldomir, one of the worst WW champions of all time.
-A close, split decision win over a past prime De La Hoya.
-A KO victory over Hatton at a weight where his class, or lack thereof, was already proven against Collazo. Not the most impressive performance up until the KO in my opinion. Though for some reason people seem to paint it as so.
-A decision win over the smaller, fading, completely outmatched Marquez at WW.

At the time he fought them the most dangerous opponents were probably Castillo and a past prime De La Hoya, which both happened to be his toughest fights. The former being a very disputed decision in their first fight.

Floyd's list of opponents is solid, though not nearly as good as it could be, and often times not as impressive against even the opposition that he did face. A very talented fighter? Yes. An all time great? Not in my opinion.

Mayweather's record is terrible considering he never fought the elite of the sport except when Oscar was older. For a guy who claims he is elite, he does not have a good resume.

Floyd never had his tommy hearns or roberto duran.

He is the epitome of risk vs reward.

You are right there. I also view Hatton as a dangerous fight. However, Gatti was an easy opponent, risk free.
