I think Mayweather might be a lost cause.

If we don't see him this year.. he will be a case of wasted talent... He could have been bigger.

I think Martinez and Pacquiao would shoot him up very far... But will he do it? I don't know...

Floyd needs to find reasons within himself to continue his boxing career. Because, he will always be criticized for one reason or another. He shouldn't just try to make a comeback for the "fans" or anyone else. If he fights and defeats Pac, and makes it look easy, there will be excuses about Pac being "too small", "on the decline", "in too many wars", etc. If he struggles, it will serve as "confirmation" to his detractors that he was "overrated". Floyd, himself, has expressed similar views on a number of occasions. He seems to understand the dynamics at play.

If he makes a comeback, I hope that beating the best is his motivation...not just money (which his made more than enough of) or "pleasing" others (a seemingly insurmountable task). He needs to do some soul searching and find "Pretty Boy" Floyd (the fighter with something to prove and shooting for the top), because, "Money" Mayweather (the more complacent fighter, who's on top) may not be enough to provide the necessary motivation for the task. If he can accomplish that...we may see even greater things, from an already great fighter.
