Wow, I thought they were buddies. Didn't Floyd call him a few times during the super six?

What did you say in the censored part, who loves Ward?

Very respectful interview from Floyd. The OP makes it sound like Floyd was being disrespectful, but Floyd was just being honest on a business point of view, not boxing point of view.

Well in Ward's defense he doesn't have an Oscar Delahoya to make him a household name like Floyd did and he doesn't fight in the UK in front of big crowds ..But hey nice attempt for, trying to **** on Ward yourself :hi:

Ward doesnt market himself and fights 1 every 24 months. Great fighter but has the charisma of a pile of manure.

So basically Floyd is admitting indirectly no one wants to watch him and the only reason they might is because he's a good s***talker.

I'm trying to think of all he stars in boxing. Most of them don't have crazy over the top Mexican wrestler personalities. Most of them are just good boxers. I'm not sure that Floyd is correct and it's the personality which sells the tickets. Ward was on the cusp of becoming a superstar when he decided to take lots of time between fights and wrangle with his promoter.

In his absence, Carl Froch has been getting all the prestige, the big fights, and the money. It's the same story with Mikey Garcia. He went inactive right when he was about to blow up and Terence Crawford took all the money and accolades.

I never watched Floyd because of his personality. I watched him because I wanted to see Manny Pacquiao's competition, the guy he was always going to fight next. I just wanted to get an idea of what their fight would be like to make some predictions, the same reason I watched Willie Munroe for his upcoming bout with Golovkin. Personality has nothing to do with it.

There was a boxer in the nineties who did good numbers on NBC because he was kind of a freakshow: Jorge Paez. He had a Mohawk and was theatrical. He was an ex-circus performer. I think he used to do flips and stuff in the ring too. Kind of over the top like Naseem Hamed with the dancing and flying carpet schtick. Also Chris Eubank, had that "I'm better than you" thing going and used to vault over the ring ropes. That's probably the sort of **** Mayweather thinks everybody needs to do to get noticed. Nevertheless, that's not what Pacquiao does.

And he wouldn't be wrong, few people watch him for the appreciation of his boxing, most people just watch him to see him lose.
