Mayweather dose fight tall so his size is important in making decisions regaurding fights that involve him.
Picking Gans/Mayweather was the hardest. However I fell that someone with better boxing skills and can match Mayweather in size has every chance to win a boxing match with Mayweather.
From what I have seen of Ike Williams he was a pick his spots get in get out kind of boxer. Same as Mayweather and It will come down to who can impose their will. I belevve I picked Mayweather.
Mayweather has clear physical advantages over both Duran and Armstrong. He also has a style of picking his spots getting in and out. Not standing toe to toe with either Duran or Armstrong. If anything I gave both of them more of a chance than they would realy have in my first post.

Not always..so you cant just generalize that he will in every fight and therefore you cant say that height and reach will be so much more important then speed, power, chin, conditioning, style or strength in determining the outcome of the fight.

Floyd lies on the ropes routinely giving up any height advantage he has...he also has been criticized for constantly ducking to low.
So again you cant just quote the heights and reaches and think that its always going to play a bigger role then other things you didnt even touch on.

What have you seen of Gans that suggests he possesses more skill then Floyd?

He was, like you quoted, shorter and gives away reach...He also spent half his career at or around featherweight and not only fought in an era of same day weigh ins, quite often the weigh in was only a few hours before the fight. So how exactly does he match him for size?

My problem isnt with the pick but the absolute bizarre logic behind it and most of your other picks.

Doesnt sound like you have seen much of Williams then.

Well Duran and Armstrong have a clear edge in experience at the top level over Floyd.

You really think Floyd wanted to look that bad against Castillo? The fact is he just wasnt good enough to look as good as he was used to.

You are looking at raw facts on paper, highlights packages of Floyd against far inferior opposition to the ones being mentioned here and coming to the conclusion he just beats them because he is Floyd.

Armstrong and Duran are different fighters but you are lumping them in the same category of the come forward fighters Floyd could deal with because I think you lack the insight to tell the difference..and frankly Ive think youve seen very little of either.

130lb fights would be LW fights back in the day and Corrales came in over the 130lbs limit and they fought anyway, thus making it a LW fight

And since when was Ndou hopeless, he was seen as a **** hot prospect at the time and top10 Ring rated

Ndou was one of the most overhyped propects Ive seen since Ive been following boxing..not sure if it was the haters looking to prop up someone that could knock off Floyd, or the nuthuggers trying the legitimize Floyd's reign at lightweight, but someone dropped the ball on that one.

The next worldclass opponent he fought after Floyd nearly killed him and sent him into retirement.

I think Buchanan has a chance with that darting left jab and excellent lateral movement, he only had trouble in his prime against one of the great pressure fighters, someone who gives him time to box like Floyd may be asking for trouble.... particularly when you are susceptible to a jab
