I'm used to watching fighters from Asia where they really go at each other and put it on the line, that's the kind of fighting I like to watch. Just my preference.

I haven't disagreed with you and I'm not attacking your hero just saying he's boring to watch.

And personally I learnt more from a crappy spar than watching any number of greats on the TV.

my hero...thats a laugh i admit fights like Brusles and Sosa were boring but overall I watch his craft

From experience a crappy spar hasnt tought me anything...getting my ass whooped in sparring and or watching the nuances on tape help me improve...to eachs own

You forgot to add that he's the only fighter in history to offer free buffet, room, and limo ride from the airport.

Sure his craft is great, second to none. But I wanna see more than just great craft when I pay to watch a fight I also wanna see some PPV heart. But as you said to each his own.

About the experience thing, depends on your attitude and if you listen to your body or not. Everytime those wraps go on youre learning something whether a light spar or a total ass whipping year after year. You know what I mean.

i love watching a fighter like floyd dismantle an opponent with his IQ. watching fighters make their opponents swing at air in vain.

i also love watching a fighter like pac dismantle an opponent with sheer offensive brilliance.

with that said..i don't understand how people love boxing but hate watching a boxer

This is true, a lot of what Floyd does goes unnoticed, the subtle tricks he uses, he's well schooled in the dark arts also. Look at the way he prevented Mosley from mounting any effective offence from round 3 onwards, it was a clinic. He's a complete fighter.

yea really after he moved past 140 and slowed down, his high boxing iq is what keeps him at the top...had they fought at 135 it would have been more of a war...Mosley at 135 was a real beast, threw more punches better reflexes

Talent/natrual ability only gets you so far. When you add the prep work. The conditioning, the sparing and the study of your oppoent by having sparing partners mimic the oppoent and watching film. (I'm sure Mayweather is lying when he says he dosen't watch film or at least someone watches it and reports back to him.) You are going to win a lot of fights.

this!!! If you cannot appreciate all styles, especially skilled BOXers (this is BOXing) then you might wanna try a thing called MMA....it's more up your alley and it's all extreme and in a cage which surely appeals to your type as well.

SRL, Benitez, Taylor, Norris, Naseem, Tyson ... just to name a few. RJJ was special though

Not even close...Jones was one of those rare fast punchers that threw with power and his body behind his shots...piBenitez, SRL and Definitely Taylor didnt do that considering half their punches were shoe shines or arm punches....Now Tyson and Naseem were close but neither had the fluidity or accuracy of Jones

Jones was far more athletically gifted than Floyd. Even Zab Judah is more athletically gifted than Floyd. Floyd's skill and work ethic are what really sets him apart.
