Floyd Mayweather has stated that he is ready to become a promoter – not of boxing but of Mixed Martial Arts! Surprised! Well, you should. Mayweather is an icon in the boxing world, retiring undefeated with 49 wins on his mantle.

I am surprised with the statement personally. Why not boxing?

He's a newb. Look, he even had to tell us who PBF is, in case we weren't in the know. His internet broke because of that pron virus he picked up, nothing to do with Floyd.

Everything posted above is true, but what is also true is the fighters are getting robbed big time and have virtually no say in what they get paid. If Mayweather started another organization and had the funds, to pay these fighters significantly more money than what they are currently making, I don't think he'd had trouble attracting talent. The big questions, would be could he hire the right people to promote the fighters into names, (like he himself did) and get the TV contracts necessary to make this a sustainable business. If anyone has the experience necessary to pull this off it would be him, but it would be a pretty risky proposition, if he's using all of his own $$$.
