I would never call a boxer a coward however Marquez is no welterweight, he is barely a lightweight.

Leonard, Herans, Duran had good resuls at the higher weights.

Hearns- middlewight, spermiddleweight and lightheavyweight champ
    Duran.middleweight champ
    Leonard- supermiddlweight champ

any boxer in the ring is no coward.

However when a fighter says he does not want to fight you he is disrespecting you.

Ask tyson this after the etienne fight

    Sure thing, bro.

Of course fighters ain't cowards, per se.

That's why they actually participate in the sport, while I sit on my hairy fat ass pontificating about it.

But you know where I'm coming from.

PBF plays it safe. He knows that he need only fight within himself to see off most mortals, and need not risk everything by fighting 'dangerous' types a la Cotto / Williams or even Mosley, all the time he's commanding purses of c.$5m per 'exhibition' bout.

ps What gives with the Etienne / Tyson quote?

Floyd isnt my favorite, but you cant deny he is the best BOXER,it pisses people off
I think because most of his challengers have had kind of weakness against him which
Floyd exploited.Ive seen one fighter that would have beaten him had they met, well maybe 2,Vernon Forrest and DLH in there prime.

Maybe on some but not throughout his career,
The question I would like to know is when will we see a fight in which
Floyd is not favored.Sad for us is that the real fight fans take a back seat
to whatever's gonna be a big ppv event.

i'm not disputing your points i just feel hindsight is 20/20 and if he has fought margo, and won, margo would have been some unproven guy with 4 loses.

he would have been accused of ducking a "real" welterweight in baldo. the forum was CLAMMORING for that fight. and even after that they were clammoring for the judah fight.

i think that mayweather COULD fight harder opponents if he were looking. but not every fight has to be the best. lineal champ in baldo is the best fight to be made. nuff said

margo had NOTHING at that time. only after floyd went to 154, then back to 147 and retired did margo/cott fight for anything. they were fighting for the top spot. when floyd was around, they were titlests

did floyd take the TOUGHEST fights? no. But did he take the top fighters? yeah. baldo and judah weren't the best, but baldo was higher ranked by everyone. that can't be disputed.

NOW is the time for mayweather to **** or get off the pot. cotto, mosley, williams and pac. otherwise, his legacy will suffer

You're right. Pacman is too small for Floyd and for Cotto as well. Pac KO's them both but that's not prediction but more of a prayer!

I call him Pussymay when I'm pissed of but honestly din't think Floyd is a coward. Floyd is simply pragmatic in avoiding fighters who have better chances of beating him in order to preserve his undefeated record and protect his marketability. He is evolving into a businessman much like Oscar was before him.

How soon they all for get that De La Hoya had 6 fights at 154lbs and 1 fight at 160lbs when he fought a smaller Floyd who never fought above 147lbs and then fights Pacquio....TWO SMALLER FIGHTERS

So when Floyd fights JMM...ALL OF SUDDEN.... HE FIGHTS "ONLY" SMALLER FIGHTERS.

HATING IS A SIGN OF WEAKNESS!!!!

You truly are ignorant. No person that steps in the ring is a "coward". One freak accident and your life is over.

How come you never say the same thing about PAC for not moving up in weight as opposed to fighting at catch weights. Why is he getting a shot at the title and he's not fighting at 147, like Mosley did when he jumped up two weight classes to take DLH's title.

I'm so sick of redundant threads such as this. If PBF were to defeat Williams and Cotto there would be another guy and more excuses from someone like you. Just admit it, you want to see Floyd lose plain and simple. The truth will set you free.
