BTW, listing a fighter coming off a win doesn't really make it THAT much more impressive. Yeah, JMM beat Diaz before. At LW. Which is what JMM was. Wow!!

Mosley was still 39 years old. Margarito was a great stylistic match, nothing more. You're kidding yourself or delusional if you think 2010 Mosley was the same animal that 2000 Mosley was. Ortiz isn't even close to being a great, he's a glass chinned glass hearted brawler with the mind of a child. He also pulled Marquez up two weightclasses, and then unprofessionally missed the catchweight he agreed to make in the contract by 2 pounds on purpose. He also fought Hatton above his best weight (though he'd have beat Ricky at 140, too), and it's not like Hatton was some unstoppable monster. Judah and Baldomir are nothing special. Hernandez also wasn't some undefeated monster, he'd already been smashed by DLH in his 19th pro fight a full three years before Floyd got to him. Speaking of DLH, if you think the 2007 DLH was anywhere close to the same fighter stylistically or physically that he was from 1998-2000 or from 2002-2003, you're pretty much delusional. And that faded DLH still gave Floyd a rough night. What would a prime DLH do to him? I bet Floyd wouldn't want to know. Oscar was VERY faded by 2007. And Castillo got the better of Floyd the first time but Floyd did beat him in the rematch (credit to him for doing that.) And Cotto? Cotto won 4 rounds off your supposed GOAT, 3 years after taking career-altering beatdowns from both Plasterito and Pacquiao.

Much like Pacquiao, Floyd's resume is loaded with big names, but the circumstances of his victories make them less impressive wins than they look on paper. And Kostya terrified? Aren't Floyd fans the same guys who claim no professional fighters are terrified of anyone else? I doubt he was scared of Floyd. I don't think Floyd is "terrified" of Pacquiao. Did Kostya think Floyd might beat him? Maybe he did. Does Floyd think Pacquiao might beat him? Maybe he does; if he wasn't concerned Pacuiao had a chance against him, he'd have jumped at the chance to bag the money, public acclaim, and a big name on his legacy years ago. But he didn't. That speaks volumes about him.

And how exactly do you justify the fake retirement horse****? Since you didn't even bother to mention it, I'm guessing you're disappointed in Floyd for that, too.

It's alright to be a big fan of a fighter, but be realistic and objective about the fighters you like when you're evaluating them. Floyd's great, but simply not a GOAT candidate. You got all up in arms like I'd insulted somebody in your immediate family. That's taking fandom a little far, wouldn't you say?

Mayweather fought Gatti who was one dimensional, fought Baldomir who was a bum, fought Castillo the first time and had his ass kicked, fought De La Hoya whom was well past his prime, fought Cotto that was way past his prime and had take several beatings, fought Hatton whom was one dimensional, fought a heartless Judah. Let's see, his best opponents were Diego Corrales, and Chop Chop Corley that put him on his ass. Hmm. Floyd ranks in the top 20-30 best fighters of all time. And you can never mention him in the P4P of all time because he ran and ran and ran and is still running from Manny Pacquiao, something Bradley isn't doing. Floyd fought Castillo last in dec 2002. KT fought Hatton in 2005. So how does that work again? ANd Floyd fought scrubs AFTER Castillo anyway, then took TWO eliminators at 140 to get to cash cow Gatti at 140. NOTHING you posted makes sense.

I'll agree with you that Mayweather is an immensly talented boxer with marvellous God Given talents BUT he was also cursed by being given the cojones of a gnat. He beat champions time after time??? Not true he ducked everyone that he knew he couldn't beat. He only fights at home in Vegas where he receives very biased officiating . eg in the Hatton fight Joe Cortez was there to ensure Hatton would not have a chance.
Mayweather will be remembered as a very talented wannabeee thats all.
Its his own fault he is not regarded as one of the best ever
