I like the bit where he said Adrian should have let his management team decide his fights rather than going after a dangerous fighter like Maidana. Telling.

so now people understand why the pac fight didnt happen.

it has always neen aobut boxing. you solved one issue floyd will always come up with something to ***** about.

pac is nightmare matchup for floyd and he doesnt want it.

unfortunately, he is his own boss so the blame lies on him.

now, he has his owwn version of "depends on my promoter/team" where pac has been ridiculed with.

floyd doing the same thing he is bussiness genius.

He doesn't really disagree. He doesn't want Broner to hang himself when Mayweather calls him a bum.

Great interview. Wasn't Maidana Broner's mandatory, though? Ducking Maidana and dropping his belt after cherry-picking it from Paulie in the first place would've done his rep fewer favors than getting the beatdown did.

You kidding me? Look at *****s. They would've argued that a crude Maidana had no chance against Broner, and would've tried to rationalize the cherry pick fight his management would've made.

Broner actually gained some respect in my book for taking the tough fight, gutting it out, and taking the beating for 12 rounds. For all the punkish things he's said or done, I can't take away that he went the distance. And reasonable fans should respect that he took a risk when, for his career arc, he really didn't have to. It sucks that it seems like a risky fight is a rare enough occurrence that it's unexpected, but that's another story.

As for the *****s, of course they would've rationalized it, but you can't base things off of what the extremists will think. Boxing people knew that Broner was a cheap imitation to Floyd and an example of great marketing. Even the *****s knew it, deep down. Floyd's got skills you could call real sugar. Adrien's more like Sweet n' Low.

Thanks Mayweather, please keep your advice to yourself

Also boxing fans, need to encourage Broner...make sure he gets paid good again, so risky fights become viable and more likely to happen

Floyd's advice to Broner is to drop down to your lowest possible weight and cherrypick. Right out of the Mayweather handbook.

Since when having a defeat makes you a **** boxer? I hate this kind of thinking.
